I called preflop because it was just a miniraise.

I was kind of hoping for a flop like this when I called preflop, so I decided to DB to try to take the pot down. Should I rather c/c?

Nah, I don't like that much the donking. The problem with donking is that you are just making all worse to fold and he even wouldn't pay us with all his CBetting range.

Most likely I'd rather Check/Raise it and maybe sometimes even make him fold some kind of strong hands if he is a reasonable reg and is able to do that. Plus of course with Check/Raise you as well protect from overcards. Would even prefer Check/Calling then donking, unless you expect the opponent having a small CBet on flop.
