So today I played a small session - about 7 or 8 MTTs. Only ended up cashing in 1 but think I managed to keep my mistakes to a quite minimal amount, and that is all that matters so I'm actually super happy I played well. Just gotta keep up this motivation and play now!

Still playing well. Probably going to drop some of these $33 CAP freezeouts and 27 turbo KO MTTs i've been playing - the shallower structures and turbo of the turbos and the fact that it seems every MTT reg grinding at the time reg these CAP freezeouts don't exactly make for the best of games, and since I'm grinding on only like $4k I want to maximise my EV and thus lower my variance as much as impossible.

I have like perfect 4b stack and he is a 12-tabling reg, but tbh I think a ton of his range can 3b/f here - since he can't flat a lot of "playable" hands because SB and BB can squeeze too much, so yea i'm pretty much shoving all my range on him here. FWIW i don't think most regs capable of thinking I am gnna 4b a wide range here and certainly dont construct their range to 3b/call near as much as they should be doing.

I got reads that mell is opening v wide (I've seen him open 56s with like 30bb from MP at 1/200). BB is a big fish so I think although I can profitably 3b pre it sucks cos I will get 4b some and can't call and I lose the fish, so I elect to call and make some moves on dry flops. If flop doesn't come like this gin for making moves on I am just gna play fit/fold - given the strength of my top pairs should be fine.

It's actually quite a bad one too ^^ Not being out for a while but last night when out for my mates 21st and got completely smashed, pretty sure he has a worse head than me this morning after drinking this though :

Woke up with £1k cash in my jeans back pocket ♠_biggrin: Went to casino at end of night and put like £200 on black. Insta lose. I go get another £200. £25 onto 25 neighbours and rest on 2nd third. 17 comes in, then just luckbox my way up to £1k i guess, can't really remember the other gambols that well. Should probably stop playing table games, don't even really have that money to gamble with so if I lost I'd have to take it out of my poker roll. So gj I didn't lol

Gonna get my grind on a bit more this week. I dropped a few hundred at MTTs and so I've decided I am actually going to play MTTsngs until I get my roll back up to 5,5k and so can play like anything I want up to $55. Think I'm going to play 45s since I think the 180s are a bit reg infested, hourly is gonna be bit lower but tbh I know the 45s a bit better than 180s since I played a lot of them before and it's also less variance.

I also realised after talking to another reg here on PS that I've been playing a bit too ABC and not really thinking out the box all that much at MTTs the last few months and I remember I used to do some unothordox things and have a lot of success with them so I'm going to back into experimenting a little and try to find a game of my own again.

I'm probably going to post a 45s graph sometime in the week. Hopefully it won't be too long before I can get grinding the scheds again if I can get my grind on. I think waiting till I have 100BIs for the $55s is defo the thing to do, since it means I'll be deeply rolled on my ABI.

So played a few 45s so far, they are a little reg infested but idk reg's ranges are quite predictable so they are imo a little lower variance. Most of the regs also make like the 'get out of line' plays in quite standard spots so it''s not terrible. I try to game select and play at fishier times but tbh am normally quite tired/doing stuff so have been playing the day games which aren't as good but w/e.

Don't really hope to be at these for much longer, I am quite close to having a roll for scheds but I might just play 1k of them to hopefully ensure I am fully rolled - hope I don't hit any bad swings (touch wood).

So yea here is a graph of them so far, mostly $7 and $15 mixed. Nice to go on a heater for a change :f_biggrin:, but I'm also playing the best I've played in a loooong time which is better :

given stacks sizes in vacum (readless, without stats and game dynamics) i think shove should be better here vs 4beting cos u increase FEQ (although tbh readless without history and stuff with those stack sizes i don like 4 betting or shoving in that spot, cos descent player wont have many folding hands there and 4bet fold sucks odds/image/stacks so i just fod there), + when u 4bet to that size and he shove u r getting 2:1 odds for a call (i know that 4beting looks stronger then shove but w/e) and folding also sucks (i can imagine he is 3bet/5betAI with 77+,AJ+ there but he might fold btn of that range if u shove)

@AJ hand keep it simple i raise biger pre lie 2300 and just Cbet flop, as played caling turn is ok but river is ugly imo is bad call there, cos he has a lot of pairs/2pairs/sets etc combos in range like from 4x to 9x, and he is like turning them in bluffs beting cos he dont know what to do and u just got lucky there imo

- 77 cooler i go for biger donk bet to get it in till river cos on that board ether they have hand they play for stacks or they just fold whatever u bet

- AA hand donking/ clicking back was cool wp, lol at him shoving 77 hahah

- T8s hand wp

- KQ shove pre imo ist best there

ok will justify my play, was few days ago but i can still remember it i think. I was playing quite loose, opening a ton - villian I had reads is good reg so defo won't just let me run him over, but we had not like had any 'wars' between us yet.

Tbh when he raise I just think full of shit, and since we have v little history between us I think a reasonable amount of his range is composed of 3b/fold hands - enough to make my risk/reward profitable. Can get out a notepad here and work it out, but I am confident my play is +EV.

There isn't really any point shoving to fold out a few combos when I think he is polarised anyway, and I don't think players are 3betting 77,88,99 here, and after you take those out there aren't really that many hands imo that he is 3bing me with that he plays differently if i min 4b or if i 4b shove. Your 2:1 is a bit redundant when I give him the polarised range I am, since I don't really have enough eq vs this range and also no point turning a hand into a bluff then going, oh i get odds I'll call now.

The fact that I am opening wide and also we have little history means he will just think he is way ahead of my range and call a lot of these hands and play them post, hence he is really very polarized, and in dynamics it was also like a 'f u opening so much, i'm going to slow you down' polarised 3bet.

i dint say your play is not +EV but given stack sizes i dont realy like 4bet here and if he goes with "fu u open too much" i prefer to go with "fu lets play for stacks" vs " i dont think u have value hand/do u have value hand " line

and i dont say that given odds u got to call when u r blufing i'm saying that if villain looks in your line it doestn look strong so he can wider his AI value range
(i think best is flat here with monsters cos his 3beting bluffing range has a lot of blocker hands if your read is right and he is paying atention of dinamic and stuff)

also i do think that in that spot in villains shoes is better to 3bet get it in with 77+AJ+ (at least weaker part of that range 77-99,AJ) vs lag agro then flating and playing post + giving opportunity for blinds to came over or sqz,

and i think that u cant play profitably broadways combos vs his 3beting /shoving range there (even if u know that he will 3bet/5betAI 77+,AJ+ and u r geting right price on your money cos this is MTT and chips gain dont have same vlaue then chips lost) 4beting calling off with smth like QJ sucks (and 4beting folding is spew), but imo shoving might be good there cos as i said previosly he might fold btn of his range (like 77,AJ and stuff)

and dont forgot that he can alwaus flat your 4bet there and u r in very bad spot with that ef stack sizes (and it doesnt nesesary means that he will only flat monsters there)

I got most of them off, I have a fair bit stuck on there but not enough to cry about really

45s still going good. Probably going to try to hit about 40/50 a day until friday. Played a satelite to ukipt tday (was a 50£ cubed so bit out of my roll) and played pretty shitty - levelled myself a bit too hard. But meh just gna focus back on the 45s again for a few days.

So played a couple hundred more 45s since my last update. Still going well :

Also played some more sats to ukipt - not going so well - I reckon I've nearly spent a buyin on trying to sat it already but w/e they are supersoft sats, and the live mtts are also super soft so it is worth playing them like 2-3 times a week (just playing seat onlys since packages are always so overpriced)

Haven't done like anything irl this week apart from poker and some exercise - just helps me when i'm tilted tbh (i think it's bad to let this 'passive tilt' build up inside you)

Probably just going to get drunk tonight

Next week I am gnna try to put in a decentish grind - similar to volume this week of 45s. Then hopefully I will be at a position to start playing scheds again. Decided what I am gonna do is play scheduled some days, and other days just play MTTSnGs - is optimal option imo.

next time get a jug. piss in it. it feels dirty, but you dont lose focus on the table and you are always prepared for multiple pees. hope this helped
