i have found that after playing online on and off for 2years is much different than playing live poker.. let me explain why....
unlike the games in the casino where you would play the other players on your table to win pots. The cards are shuffled and randomly dealt to you. When you play on online poker you have to remember that its the computer who decides what hands are dealt to you and decides ultimately the outcome of the hand played. So what makes it so different? the casino dealers have no say in what cards are dealt or the fate that is instored for you when all five cards are down, but the computer does. Have you heard the expresion of "beating the game"? in this case its 100% correct! remember someone created the program to online poker and its the software you will have to beat.not your opponents. let me break it down for you... there are over 2.5 million combinations in poker hands, now what if... there are only 1million on a poker site? leaving all the boring hands out and canceling all the hands dealt with little or no action played on the tables. after all, it takes money to keep these sites up and running. and who wants to wait around watching the puck move from person to person as its folded around to the blinds (i dont.) think about it...? dealing over 2.5 million hand combinations is real time consumming and boring. hands take up to much player time and money. If you are amoung the 2million people like me who play online then there's no needed to explain the billions of hands that play out and insane bad beats that occur online. but for a poker site the deals thousands of hands per min somone is to experience they're share of bad beats you would think... or do you?
a few years back when i converted from playing live in underground clubs, home games, and casinos, to now the online world of poker Where bad beats seems to happen ridiculously more often on its tables then if you had the same amount of tables going at it in your casino. one outters, running flushes, four of a kinds losing to a stright flushes happens alot... WHY?
The answer is simple... bad beats online or just being beat in general happen because of a few more reasons then we think online for a lot of reasons...
First thing i want you to do is throw aside all the standards and rules you were thought to do in situations or told to do by the pros, what you may have read in books, or picked up yourself on the felt. This may of worked for you in your casinos or your buddy's place. but in the online world of poker things are going to get a little more complicated.. Remember that i told you to throw ASIDE these standard procedures NOT to throw it out, as it will help you at times make them difficult decisions where a good play may pay off...
OK!, lets go back to the begining... lets say you already know the in's and out's of the game and rate yourself a alittle over than your average player. but you always seem to lose when you play online never getting ahead. your bankroll slowing declines as you find yourself making deposit after deposit. Lets face it.... losing feels like shit!! we feel like kings when we win but its just a matter of time till we lose it back once again.
Q: so how do we win playing online poker?

your first method of playing and winning online is playing high stakes! and when i say high stakes, i mean HIGH ASS!!!,,, HIGH MOTHER FREAKIN' ASS!!!!! where every pot is a potential pay cheque. playing stakes minimum like $25 - $50., not just reducing the amount of login hours on the tables, but also the less amounts of pots you have to win to make a stable living. Its at only these stakes can you really play a stable game, taking minimum risk as possible. waiting around to get it in with bigger hands will eventually dirve you to win in the long run. Keep in mind that playing these stake leave little to no room for error and these stakes is strictly for making money....
but if you like playing poker (like me) and loooooove playing hands, never seing a hand you dont like then welcome to the club! and we take joy in crackin' somone with 7 -2 of suit

If you dont have the Bankroll to play in the high stakes, then you can find yourself amoung the over 80% of other players who play mirco and low stakes poker to trying to build thier bankrolls hoping that one day they can play with the pros... so grinding out the 1cent tables will have to be the life for now.. GRrrrrr....
The second way of winning online poker is my definition of "beating the game..." and i dont mean the other players at your table. i mean the actuall game. the site... the software! (what?!) what?! did i lose you? yes thats right, the software. We hear it all the time... "is online poker rigged?" the answer is YES! and no.

You're in the wrong game. There are other games than hold'em, some even have lower variance, but
