Welcome to our blogging section!

I, too, felt for a long time that keeping a blog "wasn't going to help me much" and wouldn't be much use, but found it's actually a rather good way of keeping track of your progress and your changes to your way of thinking. (not to mention to motivate you through re-reading that you CAN do well, when doing poorly.).
The added benefit of just scribbling down what you're thinking and analyzing it later for great insight doesn't hurt either!

I'm pleased to see you've realized that endless grinding, if you have no time to study and improve, isn't going to help you develop, it's a great starting point for the betterment of the self.

Ahh.. finally got it to work with photobucket..

Set your default upload size:

Log into your account.
Click the Upload now button in the main navigation bar. The Uploader page displays.
Click the Customize your upload options link near the bottom of the page.
Select a larger web display size for your photos.

*better to have played check-fold on the river
*try to place villain better on a hand range

*be aware of shortstacks when raising with weak hands at early position.
*increase betsize to 2/3 - 3/4 pot to increase fold equity

PREFLOP PLAY

BLINDS

*Unless there is any history, if your c-bet gets raised, you should fold one pair in this spot. (Reason is you have a very strong range, and villains would only fight back with a much stronger range)

3Betting on the Blinds

*Against UTG - just call with majority of holdings, 3bet with nuts (KK+) if villain is not observant

*Against MP -
 

• loose opp. - 3bet JJ+, AK
• tight opp. - call JJ, AK
• 3bet QQ+ to maximize profit
• don't 3bet w/ weak Axs, non-broadway suited connector
• play wider range against opp with high call 3bet and high fold to cbet

 
*Against CO/Button - 3bet w/ polarized range

• 3bet JJ+/AQ+ and speculative hands middle suited connectors
• call w/ marginal broadway (AJ,QJ, KJ) and pocket pairs

SQUEEZE

*Good Squeeze Spots
- Hero on the button, villain isolates limpers often from CO
- Hero on the blinds, loose villain opens from MP/CO and BU calls

*Dont squeeze - nits, shortstacks, fishes (w/ low SC's)
*c-bet after squeeze only on villains with high Fcbet, or if your ready to play for stacks on the turn.

PLAYING FROM UTG

*with Fish on the blind, widen opening range PF (include A5s,K7s, Q8s, J9s) if players behind are not aggro to increase chance to play with fish in position.

*one can limp behind hands with high equity multi-way (22-55, AXs, low SCs)

3 worse hands that could call
3 better hands that would call

if there are a lot of worse hands you can think of, definitely go for value bet

Looked at a few of ur hands and I think learning when and who to bet-fold against will help u a lot. Against loose passives (the 34/8 guys with a AF<1.5) just bet until they raise you and then fold, they generally want to see more cards so if there are flush+straight draws they will just call even with combo draws >95% of the time. When you have top pair and cbet the flop+turn and get minraised just fold they are not turning their 2nd or 3rd pair into a semi-bluff thats just not how they play, they are value-raising you with 2pair+. And ur never getting raised on the river as a bluff esp. on a board like the one in that A7o hand u posted.

against 34/8 villain hand

you were referring to that hand.. the very small raise on the turn (0.7 on a $3 pot) is very very fishy.. and i have a lot of odds to call that..

are you advocating,,,,

- fold to the donk bet (though how small)
- call turn and play check/fold on the river

That was definitely a really weird hand. I would probably ck/call the turn and river because when a player like this raises me alarm bells go off and I'll proceed very cautiously. The flop and turn were ok but if u lead the river, u should be folding to a raise IMO.

I like folding this pre If he's not folding a lot to cbets and he bets when checked to.

why do fishes lead so small when they get the nuts..?

are they inducing a raise?
are they afraid to bet since they want to keep you in the hand?

AA no good?

taking into account the previous hands that i have to be capable of letting go coz' it was hurting me on the river..

I had to let this one go too.. but, still wondering really if my hand was good at that time..

For the AA hand.

He was always gonna bet the river if u call the turn. Therefore, the decision should be made on the turn whether you want to carry on with this hand.
