After a nasty downswing (about 300BB) over the last week at 0.25/0.50 where I have constantly seen (thats metronome consistent -- not a few every session) River cards hitting player after player calling down with low PP (making sets) or dominated hands catching their kicker ... and with increasing risk to the furniture around me (as well as my sanity) I decided to drop back a level and take it out my frustrations on the lower level players.
And hopefully regain some confidence.

This hand was interesting from today. As usual, comments appreciated.

Why the turn checkraise? Doesn't accomplish much in my opinion. If you bet, lots overcards such as QJ, JT will call again but when you checkraise you're pushing worse hands out (especially when it goes check-check and BU bets). They might even fold 6x, 4x, 3x, 2x which is not great. Also you will lose more against a straight with the checkraise if somebody has one.

I would lead the turn and probably bet/fold depending on the action.

The pot is already very big and there are almost certainly a bunch of overcards out there.
There are 3 fish in the hand who will always call overcards on this kind of flop -- and a weak-tight player who is probably playing a PP or some kind of connector with a pair+draw.
I would be happy to take this down now or get it HU with the Button -- my hand is very vulnerable, and there is 12.5 bb up for grabs.

When the Turn card is so scary, I have reckon a 5 is out there quite often and I was really thinking I should get ready to fold -- which I can if the action comes back to me bet--raise.

When all 3 fish check it through to the button I actually think my hand is likely best -- and I only really have to beat Button now -- who either has a set (not likely given his Flop call) or the straight or a weaker pair than mine or even just A high.

Given he is weak-tight I can safely fold to a 3-bet from him.

But by XR I push out the hands hands that collectively have a ton of outs against me -- really any card T or higher likely has me beat on the River. I am surprised you think its a good idea to let 3-4 other players call for their overcards cheaply (by making a bet -- which they will call given the pot size) as opposed to making it very hard for them by facing them with 2 bets.

Obviously I am over-repping my hand here -- but that does give me the chance to push players out and make myself huge favourite to win the hand or get away for the same price as bet-bet/fold.

I think the pot is big enough to justify taking it down now -- rather than trying to extract 2 bb more and risk losing the entire pot to a River high-card. My hand is not a lock by a long way.

As it stands the XR costs the same as your line (I can fold to the 3-bet) but should I be ahead it greatly increases my chance of scooping the pot and making another bet on the River against the weaker hand Button holds when he just calls.

My equity on the River versus 4 players and an overcard even with 2 extra bb in the pot -- will be less than HU with slightly smaller pot. I cannot see the justification for trying to squeeze out an extra 2 bb with reduced EV.
