Not much history between us. Stats 46/42/64(steal)/12(3bet) 27 hands, filtered to 3 handed. 5% roi over good sample.

I thought of firing two barrels postflop, but then turn hit and decided to go for bluff catching. River is decent card for him to bluff.

Grabbed by Holdem Manager
NL Holdem $200(BB) Replayer
Hero ($3,118)
BB ($2,980)
BTN ($2,902)

Dealt to Hero 8♦ 7♦

fold, Hero calls $100, BB checks

FLOP ($400) 3♣ Q♦ Q♣

Hero bets $200, BB calls $200

TURN ($800) 3♣ Q♦ Q♣ 8♠

Hero checks, BB bets $350, Hero calls $350

RIVER ($1,500) 3♣ Q♦ Q♣ 8♠ K♥

Hero checks, BB bets $800, Hero calls $800

Like it. If villain is aggro, you can sometimes try the following line:

Check/call flop. Bet entire range on riv 1/2p after turn has been checked through. Many players just think they are being trapped by trips since their vbetting range on this board is so tiny.

Occasionally backfires when they turn a pair though :)

repping trips 100% of the time seems like a bad idea to me Tim. :P hard to make trips. i def think you should lead river a LOT when turn goes check check. but there are some hands you want to bluff catch on certain rivers. turning every hand into a bluff seems like you lose value with some part of your range. (without taking into account possible adjustments he may make to your line)

Ah yes, sorry - didn't mean that by any means.

What I said was:

. So if villain isn't aggro, I'm not check/calling air in the first place. And I totally agree that leading riv here, onced we've turned a pair, is silly, given board runnout. However, if riv was offsuit 5 (say) I definitely like a bet. Think he will level himself with K/A high reasonably often.
