The player seemed quite aggressive at times. Should I have folded as soon he re-raised? I think I should have just folded.

If he is aggresive you should go all in after his re-raise,on the flop your cbet is far too small. The pot is $1650 and you have only$1000 so you can either give up or shove.I favour the shove as you are getting good odds against a pair and are ahead of everything else.

first of all you could also jam on this limit 0,55$ -> against the limper! that should be ok on this limit too! on higher limits iso-raise also with your 16bb shortstack could be ok!

as played just jam it over the 3better... on a 55cent tournament with just 16bb and 3 bbs invested you can't ever fold ak -> shove it against the 3bet or jam it against the limper from the beginning!
