How do you fight against donk bets?

I carefully consider my position, my cards, my perception of villain's ability, his range, his stack size, his shoe size and avatar.
I then consult my notes and make a solid reasoned choice.
Then I fold unless I haz de nutz.
I'm successful a bit more than half the time.
My serious side is on break atm, sorry 
It all depends on opponent, stats, flop, the type of game, your hand, chances of improvement, etc. I could describe about 100 (maybe more) different situations with different types of opponent, but I'm too lazy. It will come with experience 
It's just another tool of the game, the same as c-bets,check raising or calling.The hard part is figuring out why the V chose that play.

It's a bad play on micros. A re-raise would work the same as a shove
