1/2 J9 raised on turn

Hi!

Folding turn is out of qestion for various reasons... je can be doing it for freeSD therefore you can be ahead and even if behind you are looking at 5 outs most of the time.
So only river can be debatable but... without any further history this must be a call. This turn looks really scarry and even passive play can decide to bluff sometimes,all in all you are getting 1:7 which is quite well considering your hand being quite high at this point.
So...I call and certainly take a read to see what he is checking flop with.

He checked the flop with overcards. I see now there is flush draws and straight draws, but I doubt they check the flop. So with this read, I could bluff scare cards more when he checks the flop right?

I agree with dawnfall26. You are not supposed to find a fold on the River but check behind the flop is pretty often just Kx or Ax and in this case he could also have decided to check the flop with QJ or QT. He's got outs but frequently he's facing a checkraise on the Flop so these are 2 draws he might be raising the turn with but really often i see people Qx betting and good Ax betting but the majority of the time checking with Kx.

If he got A2 or something, you might get another BB on the Turn but he's gonna fold a lot of rivers. If he does have QJ or QT, he does have Outs but the Pot is quite small and you could induce bluffs and he may sometimes fold A2 A3 etc that he's betting for free showdown on the Turn or calling a riverbet. My evaluation might be somehow resultoriented but i'd check/call the Turn and follow through with a call on the River since i'd feel obliged to call down though i don'T like as it's mostly the king
