Preflop: If you assume a certain range for him isn't this just a pot odds question?
You need roughly 50% equity so equilab JJ vs a range you think he has and then make the call based on the answer.
Generally speaking this is fine vs spewy/loose people but he has not done much in 28 hands.
Yes, it's simple if you know the range 
But my question was about whether we can assume such a loose range to unknown 48bb stack. I still believe it's a bit loose and still prefer to stack off with QQ+,AK in late positions even vs halved stacks.

I do feel that's a bit of a loose range for 50 BB. It's a gambling spot, pure and simple.
He needs to be rather wide for you to have 50% equity and even then you generally have just a slight equity advantage.
So I would also mostly tighten my range vs unknown....
