Hand converted with online PokerStrategy.com hand converter:

Play hand

$0.05/$0.1 No-Limit Hold'em (6 handed)

Known players:
[tg]BU$17.37:///////;SB$11.78:///////;BB (Hero)$10.00:///////;MP2$10.23:///////;MP3$10.12:///////;CO$25.66:///////;[/tg]

Preflop: Hero is BB with J:h, J:s.
MP2 raises to $0.30, 4 folds, Hero raises to $0.90, MP2 raises to $2.00, Hero calls $1.10.

Flop: ($4.05) 9:d, 9:h, 5:s (2 players)
Hero checks, MP2 bets $2.00, Hero calls $2.00.

I don't think I should have shoved this turn because I guess the only hand I beat that would call would be 10's or possibly AsKs. I think a sheck would induce a shove by any hand similar to villains although I didn't put him on 4's.

Turn: ($8.05) 7:s (2 players)
Hero bets $6.00, MP2 calls $6.00.

River: ($20.05) A:h (2 players)

Final Pot: $20.05.
Results follow:

Hero shows two pairs, jacks and nines(J:h J:s).
MP2 shows two pairs, nines and fours(4:h 4:c).

Hero wins with two pairs, jacks and nines(J:h J:s).

Hi Stompy,

I would not 3bet/call JJ here that often, I much favour shoving. If you do decide to call, you played it fine on the flop. A call assumes your opponent is very polarised and will spew postflop so you should be very inclined to call down. I don't like the turn lead THAT much but it has merits.. imo Shove pre >>> call and then if you do call, your line makes a lot of sense.
