Hi everyone,
thought that opening a blog would motivate me to play a bit more so here we go!
About hero, 21 yr old uni student. Have been playing poker for couple of years now, sometimes with a little bit weaker outcome and sometimes with a little bit better. I believe that I'm a winning player in nl25 and nl50, but hopefully with some work I can really beat those levels. So right now playing nl25 at stars. Unfortunately I'm not getting any strategy points from stars since f'd up the sign up. ![]()
My goals:
From nl25 to nl50 before the end of the year
Improve my skills, especially focusing postflop
Improve my mental game, no more spewing and tilting
Update the blog at least once a week
Play ~50k hands/month
Today:

Played quite a lot today. And games went pretty nicely. Though one bluff that I'm not really sure whether it was ok or not...
Some hands:
1. Opponent seemed to be a okish reg playing 28/24/12,5 over 220hands and folding 91% to 3bets.
Opponent kept folding to my 3bets all the time so obv I had a pretty wide 3betting range vs him, especially IP sc=nuts.
Didn't cbet cause thought there wouldn't be too much folding equity on that board and my image was aggro on postflop also. Put opponent after calling the 3bet pre on a range {66-JJ, AJ,AQ,KQ,QJs,ATs}. Can't imo fold the turn/river since he having a quite a narrow value range so call.

2. Been taking a little bit more passive lines vs most aggressive players lately and it has been working pretty nicely. Here the BTN is a huge fish and I believe I have the odds to call pre here. Hit the nuts and triple check=opponent goes insane.

3. The bad bluff I already mentioned.
Opponent 18/13/5,5 | 3b in sb vs btn 14 | WTSD 23 | agg% 25 | cbet 54 | skip cbet and fold 80
Don't know if I were little bit overrating my postflop skills with this call, but opponent is a passive and tight so not the worst play ever but not the best either. Plan was to bet vs check on the flop. Put opponent on {QJ,JJ,QQ,AT,Tx}-range after the flop ck/cl. Don't know if I should've continued turn and river or just given up after the flop. At least don't think that bet turn ckbck river is an option(?). Anyways fold pre, even though 53s is nuts IP... ![]()
Like said of the 2nd hand there are lots of maniac players on these levels and apparently I'm one of them.
Shoving without having clear view whether it is good spot to bluff or not.
