This is a liquid drum and bass mix which lasts for about 1 hour. Awesome to stick on and play.

#2
This is another Similar type of mix, but has realllllly nice vocals in. But this is only 4 minutes long, but you can add it to a youtube playlist

If you listen to either of these let me know what you think! And if you've got anything similar cus i love dis shiz

It definitely depends on what music you are into.
I like to mix it up a little depending on how I am feeling, ranging from deep house and techno to bands like QOTSA and The Raconteurs.

2 I've been enjoying just now are these:

I also listen to a lot of Boiler Room sets but it really varies.

Well, I'm weird, I guess

If I'm listening to music, I get into the music so much it takes away concentration from whatever it is I'm *actually* doing.

Not good for poker.

If the music is such that I can ignore it, do I really want to listen to it at all?

I've tried classical, blues, rock, and find them all too absorbing.

The drums idea seems worth a try.

Maybe something military....

Just to get me into that bloodthirsty frame of mind...

Cheers,

Vorpal I'm from Scotland and the whole military tattoo stuff even bores me!!

I agree with your point on music that takes your concentration away somewhat, I prefer to sometimes lose track of time during grinds because it's also possible to lose focus by simply staring at a screen for countless hours so music gives, me personally, another interest to keep myself going!

:megusta: This song on repeat does the trick for me. Can't tilt with this song playing.

On a serious note i tend to listen to rock or metal. Foo Fighters, Protest The Hero. Rage against the machine. Just what ever i have on my phone. :P

I usually don't, cos it takes away too much concentration, but I've found that this mix relaxes me and doesn't take away my focus at the same time. Can't get enough of it. Give it a try!

Personally, I think that most music is disturbing your concentration during playing poker, but for me there are a few exceptions: classical music or any kind of chill w/o any lyrics, and obv. most piano songs. I give 2 examples, but I guess you know what I mean. :)

Thanks for all the posts guys.
Strange to hear you think it takes away you're concentration. Guess my brain works different?
I also listen to bring me the horizon sometimes while playing, which is like, heavy ass screamo haha.

I'm going to listen to all the tunes you all posted so give me a chance and i'll reply to you all :f_love:

I always listen to music while playing. Unlike most others, it actually helps me focus. Without music, it's just way too silent around me. I listen to a lot of dance/house/trance/etc type music. So for example I have a lot of these kind of tracks thrown into a playlist,

Or sometimes I'll try to find some mix or recorded live set like:

Shameless "OMG I was there!" comment: OMG I was there! I was on TV omg omg omg! Well, as a blur in the background, but still...

As for the topic: I just choose calm, peaceful music, predominantly instrumental. It's enough to keep me in a calm mindset but not to distract me. But I could take it or leave it.
