Stacks:
UTG ($82.11) 164bb
Hero (UTG+1) ($70.57) 141bb
CO ($149.67) 299bb
BTN ($77.95) 156bb
SB ($118.18) 236bb
BB ($50) 100bb

Pre-Flop: ($0.75, 6 players) Hero is UTG+1 9♣ A♣ Q♠ 8♠
1 fold, Hero raises to $1.75, 1 fold, BTN raises to $5.50, 2 folds, Hero calls $3.75

Flop: 6♦ 7♥ 3♠ ($11.75, 2 players)
Hero bets $8, BTN calls $8

Turn: 8♥ ($27.75, 2 players)
Hero ($57.07)?

With the high flushcards I call preflop against an aggressive 3bettor.

Flop: I thought, a ch/r could be made with lower stacks(around 100bb), but I thought also, that his cbet-value is low, so I will seldom get the chance to ch/r. So I donked instead. The problem is, that this donk is not for value; and as he does not always a cbet I get information, when I check.
So I don't like the donk. Can you think of 3betted situations, where a donk could be good? (as bluff; for value?)

Turn: ch/c or ch/f: as this is a really bad Turn for me, I prefer the ch/f... a chb of him could also come often. When I really expect him to bluff, a ch/c would be possible, but I see no reason here.

i think you will get alot of cbets on this board, and therefore i think you can c/r/f (dont need to pot it).

Yes there are 3betting situations where a donkbet is really good, but i cannot cover that topic in one post, maybe skod will make a vid about that? ;) (or he alrdy has? dunno). But in general leading boards where you dont expect a lot of cbets is a nice option, for example in a 3way pot or low boards vs a really tight 3- and c-better.

as played i x/f turn, this card hits his range quite hard, for barreling i would choose hands w/ hearts, JT78 and maybe some doublepairs w/ 99 that you decided to lead otf.

c/c is never an option here because you are often drawing to a split and cannot bluffcatch well by the River, i dont think you are even ahead of his (semi)bluffing Range ott.

Hi,

in general it's very rare to donk on boards in 3b pots. From what i see they are usually bluffs and weak hands, which allows opponents to play very good vs them.

I would b/f this turn as played. Very good barrel card imo. I dunno how it's bad. It hits your range harder than it hits him by far.

Skod

Hey,

i don't like 4betting non AKxx hands in general. So no i would not, the sidecards aren't even that strong.

Skod
