It looks like he was already in the box, before Messi take the penalty.
In that case the referee should make the decision that he needed to take the penalty a 2nd time.
You should listen commentator from Croatia. Extazy, gloryfiaction, etc. If you asked him, this penalty must count at least as 2 or 3 goals 
According to the above pic it should clearly stand as Suarez is outside the box as Messi plays the ball.
Legit goal.
Not sure if I'm being levelled here - but you know the D is part of the penalty box? He is clearly inside.....
As 8runo mentioned he is in the box (the D part), so technically the ref could cancel the penalty and say they have to kick it again. Considering he is only one step inside, I bet the ref didnt notice it, and it really isnt that significantly of an error - I have seen penalties taken where all the players stood and ran inside the box (the outer part forming a D)
