Villain 21/16/5.8
ft3b 27%
51 hands

Not sure if my turn bet size is bad i think i made it to small , but villains raise is big so likely not bluffing ? he doesnt fold to 3bets often so id have to give him credit for QT all sets that beat me and possibly a slow played KK AA . I dont think this line is taken by KQ AQ very often so its a stone cold bluff/semi bluff with something like 66-99 or AK ,no hands improved for him to flush draw on on turn.

My bet sizing needs looking at in this hand though i think , what about check calling turn or bet sizing on turn ?.

Cheers.

Hero (SB): $10.42 (104.2 bb)
BB: $27.24 (272.4 bb)
UTG: $36.68 (366.8 bb)
MP: $14.41 (144.1 bb)
CO: $8.10 (81 bb)
BTN: $10 (100 bb)

Preflop: Hero is SB with J♥: Q♥:
UTG folds, MP raises to $0.30, 2 folds, Hero raises to $1.10, BB folds, MP calls $0.80

Flop: ($2.30) 5♠: T♦: 2♥: (2 players)
Hero bets $1.15, MP calls $1.15

Turn: ($4.60) Q♣: (2 players)
Hero bets $1.70, MP raises to $4.85, Hero ?

I would most likely call pre-flop than make a 3bet out of position against someone that isn’t folding much on 3bets. Off course is the sample too small for this.

As played I would bet around half pot on the turn, but now you need to fold for sure. I don’t think he will raise with worse when he’s committing himself against you.

call preflop, as played you can either turn your hand into bluffcatcher ott or bet and fold vs. his raise

3 betting is okay if he folds a lot to cbets in 3betpots. If not, just call pre. Betfold turn, on these stakes this type of players hardly ever bluffs here.

Ye i thought the common practice was to 3bet more playable hands oop and high equity hands ip. From any range sheets i've seen that seems to be the consencious.

I think preflop you can do anything, call, 3b or fold. I don´t like 3betting into EP oop, also QJ blocks some of holdings, which we wanna make fold (KQ, QJ, KJ). Flop seems ok, OTT I would go as well with 1/2. When we get raised, there is no point in calling imo, we are hardly gonna be ahead ever.

In general I´d recommend to cut your 3b range oop as much as possible :).

Pre's cool flop's cool
Turn I'd check call check fold river vs MP
Bet vs CO/BU
Think second option would be bet half pot

Now this is like really sucky spo and why I hate betting 1/3 even it might not be so bad in theory here
Because he doesn't rep much at all but then again he's in the MP so what can he really bluff besides AK AJ that probably want to call too, I'd end up folding being all annoyed

I don't think we have alot of fold equity on that board OTF. Every pocket pair that he called with preflop is calling and probably all broadways are calling. So I like check/calling the flop and plan to check/call Q, J, K and any heart OTT. If he checks back the Flop/Turn, we can bet Turn/River for value (most often thin value with smaller bets) or as a bluff (if we don't hit anything, with larger bets to make him fold A-high, K-high and some pairs).
