PokerStars - 10/20 NL (3 max) - Holdem - 2 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

Hero (SB): 710
BB: 790 (58.33/25.00/25.00/14 (V/P/3/H)

Hero posts SB 10, BB posts BB 20

Pre Flop: (pot: 30) Hero has 6♠:J♠:

Hero raises to 40, BB calls 20 Since villain is tight, a steal is standard

Flop: (80, 2 players) A♠:T♠:5♠:
BB checks, Hero bets 20, BB calls 20 this is a bet/shove the bet is small to hopefully induce him to overplay Ax

Turn: (120, 2 players) A♣:
BB bets 80, Hero calls 80 with a FH now possible I just flat

River: (280, 2 players) Q♥:
BB bets 100, Hero, ???

I have 579 behind here so do I:
:diamond:  Call
:diamond:  Shove
:diamond:  Fold

Cheers,
VS

- I'd bet bigger on flop, as we want to play for stacks here

- turn flat is ok, but not for the reason you give - I think we can discount most FHs as villains will likely 3b shv 55 pre-flop, same or 3b nai TT, likewise AT, which leaves just A5 combos which would be flats pre (and even most regs/competent players are 3b shving A5s pre I think) [I'm basing this on my knowledge/experience of HUHTs, so if things are diff in spins, then my bad]

- I'm shoving rvr as we can still get called by worse flushes or Ax (never ever folding here!) :f_biggrin: (rvr Q is effectively a blank I think, and villains' sizing looks more of a value-bet than a bluff)

- that's my two-penneth anyway, would be interested to hear others' thoughts (I'm gonna try to get more involved here again, so fair warning guys) :f_eek::f_love::f_p:

I would bet around half pot on the flop for value. No need to induce a bluff or something against a tight villain. On the turn I think it’s not bad to keep his range wide when he leads on us, but the change he has a better hand is small I think. Especially HU I can’t give him credit for only a full house. That’s for the river the same and I would shove for value for sure.
