Showtime poker

Had a go today and certainly not a fan yet! Found it a little crazy and gave up after 2 bi loss. You don't get to see hero hand if winner of the pot.

i'll be playing this again today after the home games.

Some things are definitely weird:
 you can only buy in with 40 BB
 If you fold on the river, the winner still gets to see your cards, but...
 If you go to showdown, the replayer doesn't show the losing hand if the loser called the bet, only if the losing hand was the player who opened the betting on the river.

With a 40BB stack, it might be tempting to try to play a short-stack strategy or mid-stack strategy, but one of the principles of those was that they were meant to be played against those playing full stacks.

I'm not sure how I can adjust my strategy, but I play it rather like stud -- folding hands where my outs are visible. If you are in the BB, and heads up vs a BN raise, you can see 8 cards, which leaves only 42 unknowns in the deck. I'm sure that there is someone, somewhere at this moment, doing a lot of math.

I played the $2.00 BI version for about an hour on my stream on Friday.

That’s seems logic, but if you would want feedback on those hands you can always post the mucked hands for a good analyze of this format.

I think that I have tightened up a bit -- for example, I folded KQo on the button because a K and a Q had already been folded. I have also folded suited connectors because outs have been removed.

I think that Equilab will help here.
Just put the standard ranges in, then put the folded cards in the "dead cards" window, to get an idea of your equity.
