Do you check or shove the river for value and would you fold the flop or turn ? I know what GG poker would do because it crashed just as i was about to take my action and i timed out and it got checked for me.Any thoughts welcome and thanks in advance.

Villain was 18 vpip at the point of this hand and has been pretty solid no reads that stand out as notable.

Looking back at the .10 raise pre vs the short stack i think it's a mistake i should maybe still make it .20.

BB: $7.33 (146.6 bb)
UTG: $8.23 (164.6 bb)
MP: $0.63 (12.6 bb)
Hero (CO): $5.12 (102.4 bb)
BTN: $0.89 (17.8 bb)
SB: $6.12 (122.4 bb)

SB posts $0.02, BB posts $0.05

Pre Flop: (pot: $0.07) Hero has K Q
fold, MP calls $0.05, Hero raises to $0.10, fold, SB calls $0.08, BB calls $0.05, MP calls $0.05

Flop: ($0.40, 4 players) T K 7
SB checks, BB checks, MP checks, Hero bets $0.28, fold, BB raises to $0.76, fold, Hero calls $0.48

Turn: ($1.92, 2 players) T
BB bets $1.44, Hero calls $1.44

River: ($4.80, 2 players) 4
BB checks, Hero ?

thanks for posting, I think your right about the pre-flop bet sizing would go for around $0.20, with what you did here you gave other players good enough pot odds to call with wide ranges and they opted to do so. I like your flop bet.

When BB x/r what do we think his X/r range is ? Has he been playing super tight? would he only do this with 2pair,sets or is he capable of doing this with Top pair/FD's/ OESD's?

To determine if we should continue here we need to determine your Required Equity

Pot at beginning of flop= $0.40

you bets $0.28

villain x/r for $0.76

Hero needs to call the difference which is $0.48

now lets add everything up including what you need to call

$0.40+$0.28+0.76+$0.48= $1.92 now divide by what we need to call

$0.48/$1.92= 0.25 = 25% Equity we need to continue

Do we have 25% Equity against villains range? When I give villain all 2-pairs and 77 ( since I think TT and KK would be a raise Pre-flop) we get an Equity of 26.8% so we can call the flop, but it is close.

OTT we are getting pot odds of 2.3:1 which means we need 31% to continue which we actually have 31.10% hah, so the call is not bad.

I think my math is correct but I am not the best so forgive me if its not.

OTR is tricky we have to figure out what villains line says about his range. I think it could tell us he has a hand like K7 and doesn't like it much anymore or that hes trying to induce a river-bet and he holds 77 or KT, maybe a busted diamond draw that had a pair, I think a raise on the river we are only getting called by better so I like a check , nice hand

Pre-flop sizing is indeed way to small and you aren't only playing against short stacks. Now you give the 2 big stacks nice odds as well. If you would make it like 20c you building a nice pot and than you can Cbet the flop a lot more as well. His check/raise on flop is nasty, but calling top pair and backdoor flush draw seems fine.

Turn call is tricky with 9 outs to a flush and 2 for a full house. That gives you 11 outs of the 46 unknown cards. Than you hit the best hand. That's 24% of the time. You need to call $1,44 to win a total pot of $4,80. So you need 30% equity. The only way to reach 30% equity if you think he has semi bluffs in his turn range and AK. Otherwise I would fold this hand for sure.

As played the river is for me a value shove. I doubt he will slow play a full house on the river and risk the change you check behind.

I used Equilab and we have 31% against a range of all KT,K7 T7 and 77 on the turn, the board pairs so we are ahead of K7 now no ?

I would play check or blockbet of 1/3 pot all my value range with some busted projects, with the intention of paying some raises when I have nutflush +.

When it comes to valuebets we have to think that worse hands pay us.

Tx I don't think I have many raised on the flop vs 3 players
Kx in very little proportion and again, vs 4 players raise?.. mmm

It has busted monsters or has full.

Vs that range if you think about it is clear the check, since there are not many hands to take value.

betting 1/3
enables us to bluffs, valubets thin, induce bluff check-raises, etc.

I'd raise bigger pre.
Flop I'm not sure about the size in a 4 way pot. BB can have hands like K7s and T7s that non of the other players should have.
Board is relatively connected, so a bigger size makes some sense. On the other hand, this hand doesn't need that much protection, we are happy to see spade turns, Q, J, K. So I'm divided.
Turn call is fine for sure.
OTR SPR is less than 1 (pot is 4.8$, eff stack is 2.82$). I think BB should stack himself OTR to be honest. Check/raise flop 4 way, bet big OTT, check OTR when the flush completes? Maybe some overplayed Tx OTF? 77? TT? T7s? weak suited connectors with flop backdoors?
K7s is a plausible hand, but that turn card is awful for this hand.
I can't really see anything much worse calling our shove. He could check a full-house to induce a shove and would be a decent play. So I'm not sure again. With such low SPR I'd probably shove and the regret it when he shows the goods, or feel like a god when I check back and he had the full house
You have KK, TT, 77, KTs too, so flush is not the top of your range.

Hello Reds,

Pf was a quite odd iso, it should be 4x as you said.
Flop ok, maybe bet a bit smaller since you're in a mw pot. With that raise it gets uncomfortable but calling is fine.
Turn our hand does improves but with that big size.. I'm not sure if it's +EV. I'd say it's close.
River, it's a shove for me. Honestly I'm not seeing villains checking full houses or flushes there. And it's likely for you to get paid with Kx a lot of the times. So I'd just value shove that river.

Cheers.

That's true, but I doubt he will bet K7 so big on the turn.
Even if he's doing it it's the only hand combo you beat.
