It is a long time since I played MSS,
Although JJ is in the UTG opening range for MSS pre-flop, OTF you have an overpair, and correctly CBet.
From reading this: https://www.pokerstrategy.com/strategy/sss/mss-play-after-flop/ it seems that OTT you correctly fold.

I scanned a few other MSS strategy articles, and didn't see anything about Turn CBets -- you are in a classic Way-Ahead-Way-Behind here.
You are correct that if you call you're committed..

OTOH, the A is a very likely call for a mid-stacker to open with under the gun.

I'm curious to hear what other mid-stackers think here...

Run outs is bad for you. You could try to represent a ace with a shove on turn, but I doubt a random villain on NL2 will ever fold a better hand and it's really tough to get value. I would check/fold against a random villain as well

It's a tough spot, sucks to have JJ and block QJ/J9. I would check shove KK to deny equity and positional advantage, villain could have so many straight and gutshot draws and it's difficult to call a cbet with Ax on the flop, we have a bit more than 1psb left against a villain who could have many bluffs, it's hard to fold imo. If we think villain floats AJ/AQ type of hands then we should also add KQ in his range which could call because 2 over cards and backdoor straight, and backdoor flush 19% of the time.
