FYI - Sorry for the poor grammar, rants and going off topic. Also not the best at using this forum to make it all look pretty etc. I may or may not keep this updated :f_tongue:

Intro
Im a gamer a gambler and a slight degenerate in my 30s living in England. I think the CV19 lockdown has made me go a bit crazy so bare with me. Writing because no close friends play the game.

Last Weekend
Working from home and barely going out I am sure is driving everyone a bit crazy but I understand why we have to do it. So I thought to myself I haven't played poker in a while lets play for a few hours. Got bored of NL within 2 hours and switched to PLO and there was so much more action. By the way I play mostly cash nano stakes and like most people I don't know many people that play cash, i know a few mtt players but its different world all together, no offense MTT regs

So I started in PLO2 and got omega triggered with people sitting at the table with 10-20bb waiting to get it all in with K♥:K♠:xx or A♦:A♥:xx and you have to call if you open because if you have 3.7bb in the pot and the blinds and the have went all in for 10bb you cant fold the equity in my opinion.

Moved to PLO5 at least if your short stack here you have to come in with some money (I do not ss). Went up to the dizzy heights of $35 in profit to crash down over a few sessions to probably -$10.00. It is what is.
Making quads and winning the jackpot was insane to, never happened in NL but i dont think these sort of promos where around back then.

My life time hands for PLO now its about 7-10k, I know I am part of team whale but I actually enjoy the learning process and the action in PLO compared to NL. Equity's run closer and there's alot more chance you will get a bad beat but that's why you run it twice. Got caught a few times overplaying AAxx which cost me money but I should have stopped used the time and looked at the flop and thought what am a crushing and in most instances it was not a lot looking back on it.

Now
I am currently wondering do I bankroll myself properly or upgrade PT4 to get the PLO version. In the back of my head is a voice saying are you gunna keep playing etc. I mite wait till March and see how I feel about PT4 etc. Hope you enjoy the ramblings maybe il follow this up who knows

Any good PLO players out there want to talk hands sometimes get in contact.

Im bored so here I am :f_tongue:

I haven't played much this week, I am at 13k hands now but have been watching and take notes from the upswing launch pad course which has helped. Struggling with multiway pots I think I am overfolding but I could be wrong.

The graph is going up though rather than down now :f_grin:, I think this is due to not getting married to AAxx rainbow and respecting check raises more. The RB and the other perks from GG also help.

Would like to get to PLO10 but I can imagine this will take a lot of time unless I add more to my role which is tiny. I started with £50-60 on unibet then when I got to one hundred I went to GG Poker. Id like $500 bother going into PLO10 and I am not halfway to that

I have a huge issue, I just like alot of game formats and I just cant stick to one. Cant play on GG the short stacks are just to annoying and feels pointless playing against, mite aswell go to the casino and play a game than flip for 20bb. Havent won or lost alot recently been in limbo mostly in the PLO streets.

This one is short and to the point, I just dont know what or if i can focus on just one format

So don't!
The problem, of course, is that spreading your expertise over several different formats is that you become "jack of all trades, but master of none".
I found years ago that there were very few good players in the obscure games -- and did fairly well playing them.

Of all the "games that aren't hold'em" PLO is the most complex, and has (IMO) the highest variance.
If you're going to play PLO, it is necessary to embrace this.

All the best,
VS
