Hello everyone. I was playing poker for 5 years untill 2017 and I started again this year. I played 30k hands and -11bb/100. Ok my hand sample size is small but is it normal -11bb/100? My stake is nl10. I want to climb to nl100. I want to study and want to improve my game but I don't know where can I start to study. When I hand review, i see a lot of bad beats but maybe my style is bad I don't know. Can you advice for me ? Thank you now.
There are a lot of opportunities, especially here at pokerstrategy. And I think you should find the sources that fit best to your learning style. e.g. can you absorb everything from written texts, then check the articles (and discuss them afterward in the forum) or are you more a visual learner, than check the video section or live streams. I`m sorry that I cannot give you a clear answer to your question, but I would suggest that you should try many learning mediums and stick to them who fits best to you.
For me the strategy articles are helpful to learn the concepts. I try to formulate the key information on paper as a cheat sheet to use while reviewing hands or even when playing. Post some hands for review to see whether more experienced players agree with your reasoning. Then rinse and repeat.

Hi BeyazKin,
I recommend reading our No Limit Hold'em lessons overview articles.
That article leads you through the basics and beyond.
If you've been playing a while and struggling, then it will be a good refresher course.
Best of luck :gl:,

Има много възможности, особено тук, при покерстратегията. И мисля, че трябва да намерите източниците, които най-добре отговарят на вашия стил на учене.

Twitch got me here
I used to play in 2010-11 for like a year at low stakes, then had to withdraw my money due to family reasons, now i just randomly browsed on twitch and was wondering why did i never actually stick with poker. I was afraid, that my mentality would never change back then. I will give it a go for a few months now, again, to see if i am worthy of a playa'
Gl guys!
Learning is a bit personal, you should try everything suggested for a bit and see what works best. I usually prefer reading > watching videos, but that is just me
I use books, videos and twitch tv for some interactive content, and hopping by some live coaching sessions. Eventually would love to get coached, but i think i will burn the fundamentals in my retina and brain first
Watching live sessions with explanations helped me a ton already, i had major out of position mistakes, going all in and Calling with KJo from UTG and such ♦ I also do session journals and mark my hands for reviews!
There are several different ways to learn.

If you're a visual learner, you can learn by watching -- or perhaps just by reading.
Auditory learners learn by listening
Kinesthetic learners learn by doing.
Finding how you learn best really helps improve the effectiveness of your study time.
I doubt anyone is all one way or another, but most people blend different styles.
In my case, I can learn by reading or watch, but to actually remember and absorb it, I need to do something.
