Yesterday I noticed that the info panel (circled in red) disappeared while I was playing.
I was able to get it back only by restarting the client.
Has this happened to anyone else?
If so, please let PokerStars support know.
The tech I chatted to had never heard of this behaviour before.

Pokerstars support emailed me with explicit instructions on removing and re-installing the client.
I did so, but today it happened again when I changed tables in the $4.40 Badugi.
I played without any HUDs active.
It happened on stream, so I'll be able to send them the clip.
I'm still curious to know if this is happening to anyone else.
Watching other people's streams I don't see this at all.
There is a workaround
Today while testing to see the problem was related to any non-essential software that I had running, I played a few test tournaments.
While doing so I discovered that if I change the theme of a table to "Classic" the info panel re-appears.
If I change it back to "Mercury" (my usual) the panel remains.
Yay
I also realized this yesterday in a couple of tournaments, thanks for the solution!

Please use the help feature in the client to inform support -- you can let them know that VorpalF2F has previously reported this.
(it's also my PokerStars name)
The more people that report this, the more likely they are to fix it.
looks like I miss it to, but most of the time I use the info tab for this. I'm normal not chatting when I'm playing.
Yeah, it kinda tilted me because I thought it was a new pointless retarded change, but turns out to be a bug. Thanks for the solution Vorpal!

When playing draw games, I need to focus on the chat panel, because there I can see who drew what.
If multi-tabling, it is easy to overlook that somebody stood pat -- so I have learned to check.
This wasn't necessary before Aurora, since you could popout the chat windows, and stack them. As your table focus changed, the chat windows followed, so you could simultaneously see the chat, notes and info windows for the active table.
Of all the functionality that Aurora destroyed, this popout chat function is the only one I miss.

No, they haven't fixed it.
The info panel keeps disappearing -- but if you change themes it comes back.
To speed things up, I click the "themes" button, choose a different theme and click "Apply"
Then I choose the theme I really want, and click "OK" then it is back for a while.
It seems to disappear when one of the following occurs:
you change to a new table
someone is knocked out, and a new player joins in that spot << not 100% of the time
Just random
It is still annoying, but no show-stopper
