just got a ticket for the Suday Million Draw tonight. Since this is the first time I get a lottery ticket and the draw is at 5am at my local time, how is the process here? Do I have to log-in at that time? Will I be in the lottery nonetheless and get a notification about the result?

If you mean the tickets you get from the promo "Sunday Million Anniversary Ticket Machine", then you do not need to be logged in when the draw happens.
If you win a ticket, there will be a popup when you next log in -- at least I think there was when I won mine.
You might win a $215 ticket, but far more likely you'll win an $11 ticket to a super-satellite.
(and even more likely you won't win, but we can hope 
)

For a satellite, it was a very good one, since it had a normal payout structure, but an additional 100 $215 dollar tickets to the top 100 players.
I got an $11 ticket yesterday.
Nice cash -- 441st of 9179 players for $25.81 but the ticket would have been superb.

I railed here on most of Day 2, but on Day 3 I realized that PokerStars was streaming cards-up on a 30-minute delay, so I watched that.
The commentary was excellent -- a fairly good education in itself.
