Opponent has 24/18 on 39 hands.

With his cold call in MP I would say his range is something like.
AQo, AJ, AT (maybe more Ax?) JJ, TT, 99, 88, 77, T9s, 98s, TJs, JQs,

I checked this range after I played this hand, I had a feeling that this board hits his range a whole lot more than me!

Since I am OOP with my QQ I think I should raise for value.

My questions...
:diamond:Should I 3 barrel my QQ, I block the straight pretty hard so its less likely to have a straight here.
:diamond:With the turn card I think I still should raise for value
:diamond:With the river card what is the best approach. b/f x/c x/f ?
Having a hard time solving these plays.

Reg should never flat on MP so we should treat him as fish from start. Thats why I'm not concerned on flop and just pile money in with triple on blanks. X/R is other option but it may be a bit too thin.

Do I understand that you have no calling range from MP vs UTG?
That would mean that you 3Bet a fairly wide range, or only a very tight one.
I have seen this mentioned a few times -- 3Bet or Fold, but I still call here with some hands.
What is the strategy behind this approach?

There are two reasons why you should play 3bet or fold from MP and CO:
1. High rake , however hand is not raked if it ends before dealing flop - it means that you should favour 3betting more aggressively
2. Its way of simplifying your game -you only 3bet well defined range, there is no cold call and very difficult spots played in sandwich or after squeeze.

Strategy you play is maybe good for nl2 as people will pay off your set of deuces every time with second pair. Its not case on higher limits as people will use your call as dead money and squeeze a lot realizing that player who opened should play 4bet or fold due to fact that you are cold calling.
For example - I just checked GTOWizard solver preflop solution for nl50 rake, vs EP:
MP has 8,7% 3bet and 0% call
CO has 8,1% 3bet and 0,7% call
Same spot for nl500 rake(significantly lower than nl50):
MP has 6,7% 3bet and 2,6% call
CO has 6,5% 3bet and 5,1% call

Its easy to see that solver would completely abandon cold calling for games with even higher rake like nl10 and below. Anyway even people from nl100+ often plays without cold calling range as it make their strategy easier to execute. Its not that people can exploit that you only play 3bet or fold.

Thank you for this explanation!

edit: So I was just thinking a little bit more about this hand.
Like what hands do I want to CC in MP. That would only be a very few hands like 66/77/88 maybe 99 9ts/JTs/QJs/KQo

So If I know this and a good player know this too. He can put you on a very narrow range here and exploit it.
