Pre Flop: (pot: 1.4 BB) Hero has J♦ Q♣

fold, fold, fold, fold, SB raises to 3 BB, Hero calls 2 BB

Flop: (6 BB, 2 players) T♠ T♦ 9♦
SB checks, Hero checks

Turn: (6 BB, 2 players) Q♠
SB bets 2 BB, Hero calls 2 BB

River: (10 BB, 2 players) K♣
SB bets 14.4 BB, Hero ??

Opponent unknown. What do you think? It might very well be a full house from flop or trips from flop that improved to full house, right? If he bet 7bb it would be easy call I think.

i think hero is considering a fold, lol.
you're probably losing, but you have blockers to both the full and the straight, i'd call and lose and not think too much about it. it's also interesting to see which kind of nuts villain is playing like this (if any).

ok yes i think there is not much i beat.. so i need to call 15 to win 25, so I need 60% equity... I also lose to AJ... i still dont mind the fold either... but yes maybe vs unknown who might be crazy or get crazy with any Jx it is a must call at NL5, i think you are right.

you never-ever need more than 50% equity on a call that goes to showdown. (think about it)

14.4 / (10 + 14.4+14.4) = 37%

I don't think I would even consider folding a straight in a blind war.

There are also some missed draws that could over bet the river and than you have easy a profitable call if villain would do that.

I would attack the check on the flop with my draw.

Then on the river I would just call.

He could be doing this move with many things.

Missed diamond and spade flush draws

Then with the J of course and the most likely full house he could have is KT, since you block QT and JT.

So I think this is an ok call on the river.
