Several straights are possible, since 76 and even A4 and 46 are in a BTN open range.
None are really likely to call a 3Bet though -- or at least I don't think that they would.

When you checked the river, were you expecting to x/c or x/f?

My personal preference is to bet the river and fold to a strong raise.

I would 3bet bigger, to 10bb.
OTF I think you can range cbet 25%-33%, as you did. 👍🏻
I like that you polarize OTT and bet a bit bigger. JJ is definitely is going into your value betting range. Think about how many combos you have that have missed the board.
River is difficult. Villain's range is now filtered twice. There aren't that many draws possible, except maybe rare AK/AQ. Only value hands and bluff catchers left. Bluff catchers would be e.g. A8s, A3s, A5s, 87s, 77, rare 66. And value hands are 88, 99, TT, some QQ. I would be surprised if Villain shows up with anything besides these hands.
I don't think many players are capable of bluff raising the river after you barrel 3 times. So I would go for a blocking bet of ~15bb and fold to a raise.

I am firing a third 3rd barrel.

Preflop I am raising to 11-12bb
Then as the flop comes
I don’t think I am betting 1/3, I am probably betting more to polarize my hand like 79% +.

Turn if villain again checks to me I am betting big again so on river if checked to me I am shipping it all in..

If he mined set me so be it…. But I be going he has pp 10’s how played.

Hero is first to act, so villain can't check to him...
I don't think this hand is played too badly.

I also think it's a difficult and interesting hand.

I'd 3bet more preflop since you're OOP. Like others said.

I'd probably bet bigger on flop and on the turn.

Because he has called twice on a quite dry board I'd be cautious. The rivercard shouldn't change anything so I think I'm firing a third and folding to a raise.

I think my judgement is a bit tainted because we already know he is checking behind on the river....
my guess is he had something like A8 or 77

Thank u guys for your opinions. I bet 1/3 on the flop cause i do it but almost all my range here. Turn I didn’t want to make it to big so he can still pay with worse hands and i can make a 3rd barrel not all in. and i think i should barrel again I don’t know why I didn’t. But i dont mind betting bigger turn. Probably better.
He was holding A9o to my surprise. Knowing this I regret not barreling again lol

for us to bet polarized on the flop wouldn't we need to have the nut advantage? neither player has any two pairs on this flop and BTN should actually have more sets since they can call SB's 3-bet preflop with 88,55,33 whereas SB is not usually 3-betting 55 and 33 preflop versus BTN. SB does have more overpairs but from my understanding nut advantage has more to do with 2-pair and better type hands, please let me know if you disagree, I am still learning gto.

Because we are OOP and have no nut advantage I am wondering if we should keep the flop bet at 1/3 pot. I think we would want to bet larger like 50% pot or more if we had the nut advantage and our opponent connected well with the flop,

On the turn I think we may want to bet a bit larger to charge draws like JTs,QTs,QJs. get value from hands like 77,66, top pairs like A9s,K9s etc. and possibly TT while also protecting against overcards like the ones that have gutshots etc. River probrably continue betting as played. On the river I think we would be trying to get value from hands like top pair, 8x and weaker pairs and PP's, I think many of those might call about 33% pot, if we get raised would probrably fold depending on the size. A4s gets there, 76s is a straight, or could be a slow played set if we get raised on river.

Casey-

GTO wise we are betting the distance and getting all in with the blank 2 on river.

As for flop we are already polarized, as we are the 3 bettor from sb with the aggressive play. We are the only one at this point that can hold 88+. Yes as for nut advantage villain we can be behind as villain can hold 55 and 33 but it becomes more unlikely when are bigger flop bet is called. We are looking to get value and deny equity from all the cards you speak of along with KQ, a10, aj which you may get some looser villains to call are 3 bet with.

Turn, as the 9 cones it doesn’t change much on the board, now the nuts become 76, which is as the 3 bettor we can hold as well, if that is in are semi bluff 3 betting range pre, and that there is really only 4 combos are are worries about on turn . As for sets once villain doesn’t show any aggression back at us we can assume that he doesn’t have any sets and can lean more towards him have TP ok to good kicker, as 2 pairs there really isn’t any combos besides 98 which maybe villain flops with. Once again we are looking to get value and deny equity IMO

Once the river is a brick we now want to jam as a value bet, if villlain slowplayed a set, well good for them. But we want to get value from all his 9x possible 1010 and anything else crazy he may c/c us down with.

Would you be willing to barrel all 3 streets with AA or KK. Or are you only value betting with a set after flop.. once anyone finds or can assume this information about you your game becomes very easy. If you ever barrel 2 or more street you are pretty much nutted, and will have a hard time getting paid off….

When it isn’t 3am here I will run it through GTO wizard and take picture, but I am pretty sure I am correct. Maybe not exact through process but I am within reason.. 👍👍👍. Good luck stay safe.

yep no sleep

intersting, if we don't get flop, then on turn we are still a 50 50 split with JJ bet/check but now it wants the bet to be an overbite, my guess out due to jam river on a blank.

yes sir, jam city on river. just under POT size bet.

I don't know how to use GTO wizard well, I just started thanks to you guys mentioning it on here. When you are solving are you using 50NL or 500NL and what is the difference ? are the answers going to be different based on that alone?

The first picture I have here is on the flop the solver is confusing me because it wants to bet varying degree's a small portion of the time but the two highest options are checking (49%) and betting 2/3 pot. (11.2%). I'm not sure if I input something incorrectly I believe I didn't but this is odd to me as I would think 1/3 pot on flop would be a higher frequency than what the solver has.

The 2nd photo is on the river, again I'm not sure if I input something different than you did. All in is 45%, checking is 34% and finally what I had thought was the play which was to bet 1/3 on river has a 19.7% frequency.

"Would you be willing to barrel all 3 streets with AA or KK. I'm not saying I would value bet only sets after the flop, we can bet all 3 streets my last post says this however I wasn't sure we needed to make our 3rd barrel big on the river with our overpairs on this board and if what I did with the solver is correct, the solver is agreeing with on betting 1/3 pot on river 20% of the time. Another 35% of the time it is checking river.

I don't personally like to disclude villain having sets just because he doesn't show aggression back at us because I think villains can still play this way with sets a portion of the time. I don't know if river is a complete brick because A4s now has a straight.

As far as GTO SB 3-betting range versus BTN I don't think 76s is in SB's 3-betting range preflop. For me as the villain in this position my top pairs would feel like bluff catchers on the river and I would probrably fold a majority of my one paired hands to a shove on the river, I don't know how many bluffs hero has as SB given the line with a shove on the river instead of the check. I could be wrong but I like to discuss this type of stuff, thank you for the in depth discussion

I am using 500NL. Complex is exactly what it says to complex- I stick to a 3-4 bet sizing. Not 8-11… stuff gets crazy and I am not a computer.

The only main difference is the flop which I think I said but maybe not… flop with solver was like 53% 2/3 pot bet to 45% check I think. I didn’t take picture of that

The above is the exact content of your post.
The URLs inside the tags don't end with a .jpg, .png or other image identifier.
The last one has an extra [/ur] tag which mucked it up.
I fixed it in the original post.

Similarly, the first attempt has a bunch of extraneous tags.
I'll let you edit that one for practice.
Essentially there should be one and one tag with nothing in between but the image URL itself.

If you have the URL of an image, you can click the image button (to the left of the youtube button) and paste the URL into the box that pops up.

Also, if you have the image on your computer, just drag it into the post as monteCarlol suggests

thank you Vorpal and Monte. I didn't know you could just drag and drop that makes life much easier lol.

mkBiscuit I see what you are talking about now that I open 500NL it is giving me the option to use the basic. When I use the basic mode however and input the this flop there is no option to bet 1/3 pot on the flop, the solver is only giving me the option to bet 20%pot, halfpot, overbet pot and all in. I think the problem is betting 20% pot is too small, we want to bet roughly 33% pot. If we go with the half pot bet option the solver is giving us then.... On the turn the solver is giving us the option to bet 20%/66% or all in. If we choose the 66% pot bet on the turn I think the reason why you were seeing a high frequency of jamming on the river may have had more to do with the Stack to Pot ratio, by the river before hero makes a bet there would be 113bb in the pot and hero would have 44bb left meaning any bet hero makes here would basically be a shove. I think things are different when we bet differently, if we look at the Original Post we can see on the river the pot on the river is 57bb before hero acts, this is drastically different and can change how everything unfolds. I think the reason the solver was giving you a high frequency of shoving river had to do with size of the pot in relation to the size of the remaining stack.

Is there a way to input custom betting sizes into gto-wizard solver? seems like there should definitley be the option. I wonder if it is only the free version that forces this and perhaps the paid version lets you input custom bet sizings. Would like to hear from you on that as I don't no much about GTO-wizard.

20% sizing doesn’t change that much to a 33% sizing in 3 bet pot you can bet 1/4 pot all day long, you still have enough fold equity or hands that didn’t make any pairs that will fold so a little auto profit spot, also you need to keep in mind villain tendencies, if a villain fold 50% to cbet in 3bet pot, you end up getting same results with a 20% bet or a 33% bet - with less adverse risk.

Solvers do a lot of small bet sizing normal when it is harder for villains range to hit board- along with the fact that as stated above you only need the bet to work 20% of time to make break even. Also it is easier if we get checkraised to fold. And if we only get called it sets us up to bluff on the turn with a large bet- as villain has now started to cap their range.

Keep in mind the basic is only taking 3 bet sizing into account as well, it isn’t prefect but I find it hard to memorize or remember so many bet sizing with certain situation, like the ones you put up- look at all the sizing like come on - we are human prone to making a bucket ton of mistakes.

Hope some of this makes sense for you.

Be safe.
