3-betting large pre-flop as a bluff since I have high-card blockers. SB flats which seems like a very strong hand I'm giving his range many good PP's here. On flop I'm not quite sure if I have any range advantage as my idea of SB's ranges is still hazy and I will be studying SB more, I decide to check behind because I don't want to get check-raised. On the turn I was still thinking I didnt want to get blown off my equity in case villain has a hand like QJs, AQs that wants to check-raise. In hindsight I think villain probably has a clear marginal made hand I can probably extract value from say middle pocket pairs like 77,88,99. maybe some FD's but I was really unsure what good suited high card hands should be flat calling in the SB with the initial raiser still left to act pre-flop. River villain shoves all in... I wasn't sure what to think really...backdoor Spades has made it in... I don't see villain having any straight combos here and there are broken hearts and broken straight draws with hands like QJs, AQs,AJs. At these limits I don't think players are bluffing river enough but do you think villains line is suspicious at all ?

i think still easy fold pre with this hand. if you wish to squeeze bluff them, i would pick some other hand, this is just dominated often and if you get 4bet you can't do anything but to fold... I would bet the turn as played, SB can have flushdraw. on river i lean more towards a fold, you beat like AhQh that he bluffshoves? which i think is quite unlikely. and he is for sure not shoving a worse valuehand.

Think the play of hand is pretty good, you gave it a shot with KJ off, which is probably small frequency attempt which I believe is fine. Unless you know know that UTG or MP are super tight and only open strong hands from those positions. There isn't anyway to know that SB is going to cold call a 3bet. But once he does I would put him on a pretty decent strength hand, and with some playability, Like 109s 89s and AJs+ also 77+ leaving out the big boys or course as he would 4 bet them.

The only thing I would change is maybe the turn i would think about going all in if i was betting just for the sake that, your 3bet pre and having 2 callers makes it a little hard to make a smaller bet on turn then jam, its a tricky little spot, betting wise. But i dont have an issue with the check fold river when he jams and the flush and str8 draw completes.

Keep Grinding!!

If you only 3-bet for value your easy to play against, your opponent will just fold. I could be dominated but Im also blocking some good hands. In terms of not being able to do nothing but fold when I get 4-bet I think its not that clear. If villains is 4-betting linear range then yes I can fold but if he is 4-betting polarized (which he should be some percentage of the time to be diffcult to play against) then it becomes a game of adjustments , poker players at a high level will 3-bet/4-bet/shove eachother based on their perception of villains range aswell as their perception of villains perception of heros range .. our decisions cannot always be simplified based on our actual hand strength

well yes but im thinking you are facing fishy people on NL2, not battling regs in high level games

I have plenty of patients. I try to not only 3bet for value because even at 2NL even somewhat observant players can tell when someone is nut peddling. I agree I could have squeezed with a better hand but it ended up working out for me. I called the river and villain had AJhh.

Nice bluff catch. I would normally fold pre-flop as well. If you 3bet like now you get most of the time in a marginal spot if you hit top pair like now. It's also not to likely you get both villains to fold pre-flop on NL2.
