Agree with everyone here. You were pre-flop aggressor, so a c-bet makes sense. The 2 is unlikely to hit opponents ranges (assuming they are playing reasonable ranges), but the T♦: or the flush draw may have, so you want to extract value. I'd probably make about a 3/4 pot size bet on this flop. This also allows you to continue c-betting the turn to set up the all-in on the river.
As played, when BTN 3-bets the turn, I'm making my decision right there to either check-raise all-in or give up on the hand... calling is too weak. Sure your opponent may have a set or trips (or T7 though unlikely), but you have so many other likely hands dominated (:Tx: hands, 98 hands, flush draws, etc...) that will pay you off.
To answer your question though... Things to consider on the river:
:spade:Is BTN capable of bluffing a missed flush draw? If yes, I'm calling.
:spade:Both you and CO have shown weakness throughout the hand, and both checked the river to him so it is unlikely either of you have a Full House, is he choosing a good spot to shove and grab the pot from someone with weaker holdings (pocket pair)?
:spade:BTN has represented a hand from the flop onwards, maybe he has an over-pair or maybe he made the FH?
It is a very bad spot to be in, and (if my rough math is ok) he needs to be bluffing more than 2/3 the time here for you to call... I think I'd be folding this hand as played, but I wouldn't be happy about it.
Thank you for the in depth analysis. My idea of checking came from strengthening our checking range because , would we C-bet AK or AQ here multiway OOP? If we would not my thought was that our checking range would be weak because we have a bunch of missed suited broadways etc.
Maybe C/R flop is also an option not sure.
On the flop in hindsight I do agree villain shouldnt have many 2’s. Maybe hes betting Tx,flushdraws, weaker PP’s, A-highs etc.
When we call and turn comes a 7 in hindsight I am thinking villain’s re-raise could be a with a hand like 77, TT,, AT,KT,QT, maybe some NFD’s
98dd and A2s. On river I decided to fold
