Introductions! (Warning - This will probably be a long post)
I turned 33 on the 27th of oct, and I live in Canada Ont. I currently work at a Long-Term Care Home. I've always played poker for fun when I was young, but around 2008-2009 I found Pokerstrategy.com and started to take it more serious. Started with the $50 on pokerstars doing Short Stack Stretegy and Full ring - Fixed Limit (You'd have to pay me to sit at a full ring fixed limit game these days. 6max and HU are more way interesting to me now). I ran my bank roll up to about $300 doing that, and had to quit poker. I was a starving college student and used the $300 to pay off a bill or two, so no regrets :f_cool:.

I stayed away from any serious poker until last month and thought I'd take another shot. Poker is way harder then it ws in 2009 :f_o:. I was losing and breaking even most sessions. So I focused on watching and using confidant91 Beginner no-limit course (link - https://forums.pokerstrategy.com/forum/thread.php?threadid=420360) This is amazingly insightful for new and returning players IMO. I really enjoy it, and it helped my game a ton. It also made me really hungry for more, and I joined the upswing lab poker site. I can't say enough good things about that.

Goals
My Short term goals are to just Play as much as I can without feeling burnt out, and Study as much as I can. Hopefully the bankroll keeps going up. Then in Jan do a personal Bankroll challenge for motivation.
The goals for the blog are to post about once a week (hopefully more).
None of my close friends or family take poker very serious, So the blog is mostly to use to post and talk about good sessions, and successes and rant about bad beats (the usual poker talk :f_thumbsup:)

I also hope to keep it a bit interesting by posting poker related content I found fun/Interesting (quiz's, youtube videos and vlogs etc.)

I have a small sample of my latest hands, After joining the upswing lab on the 18th of oct, my game has been improving a lot. I was only on a bit of a heater, and cashed in on that.

I like to play pretty aggressive with good hand selection. However i'm probably over folding to aggression at these limits. I like to bet for thin value, check raise as semi-bluffs on good boards (or what I think are good), and over fold against re raise. So I'll try to post some fun hands where I get bluffs in and some where I get caught.

I'm mostly playing on GGpoker and have had good luck with the rewards there. Link Text.... I got into a 135BB All-in with Aces the other day, and it held, then Daniel Negreanu's avatar showed up on the screen and danced for joy for me.... not sure what more you could ask for than that!

(I try to keep the spelling and grammar at a decent level, but most of these will be written when I'm tired in the morning, or tired after a session at night. Probably won't really proof read them very heavily :f_eek: sorry in advance if that bothers anyone!)

According to the date under your avatar, you joined in 2007 -- wow!
I also started with SSS in FR, but not fixed-limit.

Best of luck in your current game :gl:,
