Opponent is playing 33/16 with 6% 3Bet — but only 150 hands.
I 4Bet because this looked like a squeeze from a LAGgish player who could do this fairly wide.

Anyone calling this shove?

Pacific Poker - $0.05 NL FAST (6 max) - Holdem - 6 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

BTN: $7.52
SB: $5.00
BB: $9.89
UTG: $2.46
Hero (MP): $7.68
CO: $3.87

SB posts SB $0.02, BB posts BB $0.05

Pre Flop: (pot: $0.07) Hero has J♦:A♦:

fold, Hero raises to $0.15, fold, BTN calls $0.15, SB raises to $1.00, fold, Hero raises to $4.00, fold, SB raises to $5.00 and is all-in, Hero ???

Hello, if You 4bet with this sizing You should call this all in. But I don't like 4bet with AJs. If you call this squeeze button can call too and we get action in 3way without position, not good spot too.

Well, you can't fold now.

Your calling $1 to win a bit over $10 so you priced yourself in and need to call. It's 100bb effective vs sb so you don't have the room to mess about vs that 3bet size. It's going to make any 4bet around 40%+ of the effective stacks. In normal circumstances a 4bet should only be max 25% of the stacks 100bb effective.

Wait, so the villain 3bet to 20BB preflop? What an enormous size that is.

I think AJs is a fold if you believe him, if not then just 4bet/shove.

I would or 4bet shove or fold against the 3bet. Most of the time I would fold against the huge 3bet. Only if you have decent info on the villain in this hand that he/she 3betting like this as bluff I would go for it.

Now you are committed to call the shove, but you are most likely crushed against villains range.

Hey!!

After your enormous 4b it's the easiest call of your life as said above!!

As drifter wrote it's an easy fold vs a 20bb sqz from SB. Not to mention he looks like a passive fishy player from his (limited sample size) stats.

If this had been played with stdish sizes you sholud call plreflop imo. Ofc it needs some postfop okay skills. Wont be the best spot of your life when BU comes along.

Well that's a relief
I did call — but mostly because I didn't believe this was for value — and I expected a fold.
I then had an "oh crap!" moment when he re-shoved

From reading the comments I realize that given his sizing he's never folding either.

He turned over AKo.
Flop came two jacks

He/she can fold if you 4bet shoves, but if you get action you are in a bad situation. Lucky for you hit trips this time.

In short-deck, folding to a 4Bet is rare, which is why I should have shoved.
I'm never folding after the raise, and neither is the opponent, so I should have got it in immediately — I didn't check stack sizes before raising 4x his bet.

In the HH nothing indicates this. Didn't know 888 has fast short deck (still doubt).

I guess u missread this situation. If not and u aware this hand is std nlhe and still making conclusions of short deck nl plays then i tell u should not do this 4 sure!!!

Btw i got no clue short deck preflop ranges still doubt u should go broke preflop w AJs in those games.

"I didn't check stack sizes before raising 4x his bet." - u should check stacksizes behind u before opening your hand.

Depends!

If they 3bet tight/only value (frequently the case on micros) then u should fold this hand cos not good enough to value 4b.
