AK in 4bet pot vs turn shove

Personally I go broke here and ship the turn considering it’s a 4-bet pot. Pre, he might flat with KQ/KJ/QJs combos, but he also has a lot of 1 pair hands with a club we beat. We’re getting decent odds and don’t have to be good most of the time to make it profitable. Although, I’ll admit I don’t tend to make big folds when I’m getting 3:1-4:1.

I don’t mind folding though and picking a better spot, but when you bet that much OTT, makes it harder to fold imo.

What range do we put him on? KQs, KJs, QJs, KK-66 ?

I would most likely just check behind the turn. It's tough to get value and if you face a raise or shove you are drawing dead most of the time. Also you're sizing seems big. Around $3 is big enough I think.

For sure and especially if you don't have outs as backup if you are behind.

Could be, but that depends per situation I think.

I would reverse the betting sizes:
The way you played, in my opinion, the betting size was small OTF and too big OTT.
If it was me i would bet 2/3 or full pot OTF

It used to be called Baluga Theorem back in the day, but I don't think it applied to 4-bet pots.

I don't see how you can fold here getting like 5-1. You are ahead enough when he has AxKc, AxQc type hands, he might even have AK with no club. You lose to 1 combo of AA then a bunch club SC's he might have, but some of those SC's can be discounted because some will fold PRE and other will have made a move on the flop, so it's not like he has a massive value range.

But I think the bet on the turn is too large. I'd check behind to get some value on the river.

I expect the Baluga theorum is also useful in 4bet pots. Offcourse the pre-flop ranges would be tighter, but in spots like this I would expect villain would only check/min raise with better than top pair.

I think you have a pf call to 3bet by going deep; AKo is a very strong hand to play 4bet/fold pf and weak to call a push with 190bb.

I would pay pf and play a half IP pot.
