Hi!

What would you have done here?

Pacific Poker - $0.20 NL - Holdem - 7 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

UTG: 106.1 BB
UTG+1: 99 BB
MP: 144.15 BB
CO: 61.25 BB
BTN: 112.05 BB
SB: 22.55 BB
Hero (BB): 119.6 BB

SB posts SB 0.5 BB, Hero posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has Q♦ Q♠

fold, UTG+1 calls 1 BB, MP raises to 5 BB, CO raises to 9 BB, fold, fold, Hero calls 8 BB, fold, MP calls 4 BB

Flop: (28.5 BB, 3 players) 8♥ T♦ 7♣
Hero checks, MP checks, CO bets 18.8 BB, fold, MP raises to 135.15 BB and is all-in, CO calls 33.45 BB and is all-in

Spoiler

Turn: (133 BB, 2 players) 4♥

River: (133 BB, 2 players) A♠

MP shows 8♣ J♣ (One Pair, Eights)
(Pre 19%, Flop 37%, Turn 21%)
CO shows K♥ K♣ (One Pair, Kings)
(Pre 81%, Flop 63%, Turn 79%)
CO wins 126.35 BB

Opponents were 24/17/8 on 580 hands and 30/21/9 on 120 hands.

I played the handy mostly for set value which is pretty weak. But I found the min 3-bet regular on regular quite suspicious.

Long run this is losing play. You dont close the action. Pretty much capped. Fold or 4bet seems equally correct. But cold call is worst here

Read less I would 4bet and try to get it in against the short stack. Off course villains min 3bet seems suspicious, but most regurlars have stacks of at least 100bb.

Problem with QQ is if we 4bet, he jams, he needs to have all AK combos to make it a profitable call.

I dont see that to be honest, more likley he calls a lot of AK, so we 4bet fold to jam, or fold pre.

I would have 4 bet and folded to a jam from MP but would have called off vs CO as he doesn't have a full stack and that 3 bet seems a bit fishy.

So we never cold calling a 3 bet pre with QQ? What if all of us are about 150 bbs deep, does that change it or is it still 4 bet or fold since we still have MP to act again.

I might 4Bet preflop as well, but as played β€” Good fold β€” shows discipline and common sense.
Well played πŸ‘
