Hi everyone!

A few weeks ago, I was invited in a nice and soft home game round. :f_cool: They´re playing dealers choice - TexasHE, 4 or 5 card Omaha and Crazy Pineapple. In this last kind of game, I´m a completly novice, so I grabbed some basic content in the net. Now I´m looking for a pokerroom, which offers this variant, to get some practice. If anyone has a clue, thanks in advance. =)

None of the major rooms that I know of have it — or Open Face Chinese as it is sometimes known.

There is a site called "SWC" that has it — but as far as I know, it is a bitcoin-only site, and I have no idea whether it is safe or not.
I've played there, and built up a BR on it using freerolls, but I've never tried to deposit or withdraw.

OP was talking about Crazy Pineapple Hold'em poker, I believe, which is a completely different game. It works like Hold'em, except that you get a third hole card, which you will have to discard. I think in regular Pineapple Hold'em, you have to discard it preflop already, while in Crazy Pineapple, you are allowed to see the flop first, and only then have to discard it.

Open Face Chinese poker is usually played in the "Pineapple" variant too, which in this case means that after the initial deal of five cards, you also get three additional cards on each subsequent deal and have to discard one of them - hence the confusion. In the original version of OFC, which seems to be much less common now, you would get only a single card on each deal after the initial five cards, allowing you to play with up to four players, in which case you would exhaust the entire deck in each hand.

You are still correct, though: SWC does have Crazy Pineapple Hold'em - technically. I have yet to see a single table of it running ever. That site has extremely poor traffic in general, which is a shame, because on paper, they have the greatest selection of games on any poker room I know. I did play some Crazy Pineapple freerolls there before, and even shipped one of them a few years ago. Not sure if they are still in the daily freeroll lineup, which seems to be pretty random.

It should be noted that those freerolls have almost pointlessly small payouts with currently about 12 cents worth of bitcoins for a first place - but then again, both Vorpal and I managed to build up a bankroll from those. I also haven't ever deposited or withdrawn anything, so I can't comment about safety either.

That being said, they also have Open Face Chinese poker, which I do like to play there despite the poor traffic because it is still one of the best places for it. The only other good choice for that one would be another crypto site called CoinPoker, which has much better traffic, but also a few tilt-inducing quirks that make me prefer SWC.

I've been spending a little more time on this site lately, so if I see another Crazy Pineapple freeroll running there again, I'll try to let you guys know.
