SB posts SB 0.5 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has 7♠ 7♣

fold, fold, CO calls 1 BB, Hero raises to 3.5 BB, fold, BB raises to 14 BB, fold, Hero calls 10.5 BB
I don't love my call, but was already with the idea of floating, because of his CBet % decreasing F->T->R and because he can 3bet lighter because of my iso-raise vs the donk on CO

Flop: (29.5 BB, 2 players) T♣ J♣ T♠
BB checks, Hero checks
This would be a flop to float if he Cbeted. Actually, I was expecting him to Cbet.

Turn: (29.5 BB, 2 players) 7♦
BB checks, Hero bets 9 BB, BB calls 9 BB
This villain missing 2 Cbets is not usual. I have to consider his call a very polarized range. Either FD, AT, FH (JJ, JT)

River: (47.5 BB, 2 players) 8♠
BB bets 28 BB, Hero calls 28 BB
Flush didn't hit, I can shove, but would he call me with what? From his play, mainly AT is the hand that I could beat.

His hand surprised me. I didn't see him 3betting with it, but surely I let go a lot of value in this specific hand. What about in general?

Spoiler

BB shows Q♥ 9♥ (Straight, Queen High)
(Pre 49%, Flop 53%, Turn 0%)
Hero shows 7♠ 7♣ (Full House, Sevens full of Tens)
(Pre 51%, Flop 47%, Turn 100%)
Hero wins 98.3 BB

Villains check and then call on that turn is suspicous. The 7 completes 98. I'd expect V to bet a T or a J and of course trap with JT or JJ or TT. Might bluff catch vs your draws with 99 or 88.
V is betting big so he might not be folding, but would he call vs your shove, your only bluffs are busted FD right? So you might get paid with his holding because when you raise that river it turns his hand into a bluff catcher right?

I don't think there's lots of bluffcatching, from part to part there.
His actual hand is the only one I think I could get called and win (maybe AT, also).

The point is, on such board and actions, is there point is shoving my hand on river, or the call is good? I think if we shove and get called, we're often behind, maybe 50/50, that's why I didn't raise him, but I am not convinced I made the right play, in general, not against A specific hand

I would expect you will iso tighter than if you would steal from the BTN first in.
I expect you have decent info about villains 3bet% and based on the info villain seems like a tight 3better in the 27 hands villain has shown. That makes calling close I think in position.

Flop and turn play seems standard.
Villains river lead is interesting I think. Villain could slow play some hands, but I would expect villain wouldn't 3bet JT to often out of position. JT played fine post-flop. JJ and TT is possible and the rest you beat. JJ and TT could be in villains check/shove range on the river as well to give you the change to bluff you're missed draws. I don't think that you have to many value hands in you're range that would check the river.

The river is at least a call with 77. Off course 77 is the top of you're range I think. It's indeed tough to get value with shoving.
AT would be a bluff catcher on the river and a straight would most likely fold on a shove. All missed draws in you're range will fold against villains lead. Bluff shoving would be really tricky with in mind villain needs to call only 58,8bb more if you would do that. I'm really tempted to make a thin value shove in a spot like this.

Cheers,

Villain is quite known for me. Some interesting hands against him. I usually avoid being close to him (left or right) because blinds dynamic with him requires a lot of my focus.
He has all AXs and a A7+o, K7s, suited connectors 98+. His actual hand was quite a surprise.
I called, because any flop with 1 broadway only is something I can navigate against him and IP there's space for pot control.
But yes, close call.

As for the iso, villain in CO is really the kind of whale one needs to punish from the start. The kind of whale that changes table dynamic.

@SDK I like your analysis but you gave very good reasons not to shove so why would you be tempted to shove anyway?

@TS the more info you have on villain the better, that justifies your call pre. Flop and turn is standard. River I actually think shove would be great because your hand is so strong and he might pay you off with his straight (especially with the Q)

I don't love my call

Why? Unless you are against nitty V with low 3bet % you should call here in position.

OTF i like your check behind. First the flop is not good for your hand with two overcards. And second it's hard to define what V's check means. It looks suspicious. A note wether he is tricky or not could be usefull.

OTT improved to a full house you have a clear bet. You want to build a pot. But you could make bigger size. 50-60% should be enough

OTR

Hero calls 28 BB

I have 1 word for this play. (YAIKS). Ohh man ;(. This hurts me. A lot. You should be happy that V commit some money in the pot specially with such a line. He almost never have stronger hand than yours. Even the trickiest players that i've been playing against dont play that tricky. He would've bet at some point or C/R OTT if he had a really strong hand. You have a clear shove OTR. Your hand is way too strong to be turned into a bluffcatcher
