I'm a long-term browser of these forums, having run up a few of the PokerStrategy free bankrolls all the way back when poker was easy but I was still one of the many fish, but ultimately with few notable results to my name. This is thanks to rarely putting in meaningful samples at anything other than extremely high variance MTTs with a generally quite aggressive BRM, running well below EV in the late stages/near FTs. We know how that looks!
Long story relatively short - I'm from the UK, have been playing for nearly 15 years. I have many interests and responsibilities in life, so my volume is highly variable as I am not always able to fire up a session whenever I want, ranging from at times putting in far higher monthly volume than many full-time players, to barely playing for the rest of the year. I also play some live events in the UK & Europe when I'm able to get away for a week or so. One of my best sites for results was MPN but I got into that late on, so it was unfortunate to see them leave the UK poker scene.
With the quality of some of the main sites nowhere near what they were, I am here starting from $0 on WPN. I am well aware of its questionable reputation, but it has some great freerolls, so these are two reasons why I am starting from nothing. For now, I hope to get to a stage where I am able to frequently play an ABI of $10-15 a few times per week.
As I play in my free time, my posts may be quite infrequent - whenever something notable happens in terms of the BR, rather than weekly for the sake of weekly, for example.
After starting in late March, I am nearly three weeks into this journey, having won $9 in a TPE freeroll then run that up to $80 in the first week playing STTs with some $0.50-$1 MTTs. That initially went well but after a losing run I am back to freerolls for the near future. The plan is to follow a similar BRM for the time being.
