I just joined table orbit two orbits ago. SB seems very active and fairly aggro postflop but there had not been showdowns.
Preflop is call for me for most part. I think 3bet with two bottom gap is quite loose?
Flop I were kind of mixed if I want to raise or just call. I think both are reasonable but just having bottom gs might actually make call better.
Turn we get another gs and this is pretty clear pot for me. Ton of equity and having chance to get some better (made hand wise) hands to fold.
River pair the board and I would just check here having some showdown value and I think its probably tough to get better hands to fold often enough. Basically if betting we would aim to get overpairs to fold. But really I think my hand is kind of fine check as we beat fair amount of busted draw hands and we actually unblock wraps for most part.
But to my surprise SB lead shove himself and my first thought was "this is really weird line". In general I tend to face these kind of lines more on locked down boards where its paired before river. At those spots it tends to be slowplayed boat really often. But this is weird board to face this imo. Could be perhaps some 93, 73 boat or maybe just random 3x as value. Overpairs should be more of bluff catcher type and would be weird to lead. Anyway I doubt SB should really ever lead here theory wise as our uncapped range just has more boats? Wonder if leading some overpairs is actually thing for SB here...
Anyway I thought this could be often enough one of those "desperation" bluffs with busted wrap type hands so went with hero call.
