rakeback grinders journey .

playing no-limit holdem for long-time , struggling lately a bit with motivation , started playing fast fold format for rakeback .

trying to post weekly results and some other random observations.

Last week played 25k hands , rb 1k , result breakeven (2k below ev) .

Year up to date maybe +30k (not playing much fast-fold though) but reg-table action during summer not great and quite boring , hard to get volume at good games so playing for the rakeback is acceptable for now .

I also hate playing many sites same time , my brain doesn't take it good at all .

Other than this I have some things I want to improve with in life but not really wanting to share that much but I promise keeping those in mind while post about the rakeback results .

This week rakeback 12 dollars so far , haven't really started yet but maybe tomorrow.

Decent grind day but got exhausted of last week 25k hands + also fired some tourneys and played also elsewhere . Now kind of slacking this week .

Well also went to do some paperwork errands today and been just busy .

The rakeback cant be seriously speaking nr1 thing in life , is gonna burn out and quality suffers . Making a chunk of profits from Rb is a plus thing but cant be my long term goal to hit x amount on rb each week or something . Need to enjoy life .

That's fair enough.

It must be tough to play 25k in 1 week. How much time cost that for you?
Seems like a day job if I would do that.

I treat poker as a job . Probably played 4 tabling fast fold between 4-5h/d for like 7 days in a row . Nothing super extreme .

Amount of stress that comes from grind is quite high inevitably so I do view 4 hours of actively playing poker being like equivalent of 11 hours at a warehouse job when it comes to stress going through body.

This being said I'm getting to my 30s soon recovering much worse from poker than in early twenties , feels like cant go so hard anymore ...

Poker kind of fucks up the brain , too much stimulus . Its like same amount of stimulus as watching porn 5 hours in row or scrolling on some feed of social media etc. distant from normal life and unhealthy , cant recommend it as a job and certainly look for working less hours in future / doing something else in near future .

That's sounds tough for sure. I don't think I will ever play poker as a professional. It's more of a hobby for me.
Live poker is interesting. I would expect in a casino with a lot of people in the room it's tough to concentrate. Maybe with ring games it's less difficult than with live events like the EPT or WSOP.

Yeah, well I still love to play poker but just feels like a job too .

Also could see myself doing anything else but hourly needs to be at least 30+ otherwise would feel like charity considering my poker hourly being 50+.

Live poker is fun , lots of distractions and needing patience and also needing to try to profile players and get reads and most importantly trust own reads . Very challenging internally and a new world to explore for an online player . Something I look forward doing more in future for sure .

wrapping week up : results from where I get rb , +160 dollars rb only

results from where low to no rb (2 sites) , maybe +40 dollars pokerstars rb or something

livepoker 2 sessions : +540 dollars , had been more if not having punted once a bad bluff , brain fart basically

positive things : turned schedule to waking up at 5am and going bed early , good impact on life , long term +ev for poker also to me personally
morning weight 96kg even not trying to diet (night lifestyle causes easily weight gain too)

negative things : lack of discipline week before (playing too much) caused a feeling of burn out and it influence me throughout the week
I injured my toe weeks back and its recovering very slow meaning I cant do much but gym and only did it once as just mentally being in a weak state and excusing the things I could do due to the injury which only limits running basically , lazy with things in other words / putting too much of my energy to just playing poker

Goals next week : Try to do a bit of everything and also enjoy life , try to approach things more softer put health always first and look to do things in comfortable pace

There was some tricks on how to post image with the url link to it , something needs to be taken away from the link? Sorrys for pictures not showing.

Some factual things that came along the way on my poker career

1st : I would not have gone beyond nl100/200 before I bought myself in to a CFP
2nd: I felt so shocked how hard my cfp holded the info that could take a player to 1knl+
3rd : Cant believe how people buy coachings from the guys giving "GTO style coaching" like Clanty etc.. who just mimic some random numbers combined their memory of solver outputs

I can explain these three with crystallin clear logic

But I'm not bothered to

Those who knows the truth will know it anyways , dummies will always keep refusing / asking / blocking / ignoring
