Books like Mental Game of Poker I+II will be always timeless and I recommend them.

Peak Poker Performance is also great if you like a bunch of academia style references.

Besides mental game books, you won't go wrong with books that use math and to lesser extent solver evidence as basis for strategy if you want tbe advice to be timeless - which ones depends on what game you want to play

I went with Tommy Angelo and his "Eightfold Path to Poker Enlighenment" for a while, for many years, and he is more on the psychological/spiritual side, pointing to meditation, buddhism. I believe he is actually spiritually helping people even when playing live (listening, giving buddhist advice). Before that I found "The Poker Mindset" was the greatest. I am still very inspired and impressed by "The Poker Mindset", how simple, beautiful it is.

Tendler I hate how his picture sometimes shows up, i think it indicates I lack that aspect of professionality. i guess this is something i could work with

Damn, it is on YouTube now! There really is something to say about PokerStrategy -and all these old-school training sites are long gone, but we are still alive and kicking.

There really aren't many books besides Tommy like that - I have gone into Tolle and many many others on the subject since

DC still active but very very tough ♦ was learning from Selbst, DeathDonkey 2 years ago it was nice content but i was breaking up with girlfriend while having 2 children.. i better do some gamedev for children in the same apartment than make a nasty breakup feeling horrible.. was like trying to get money? lol.. I learned it is better to fulfill ALL requirements of the partner in a relationship than experiment with fate ♦ all well now..

But honestly, the Eightfold Path was so out of place, timeless classic - it's a piece of history now like Steamboat Willie, no wonder it's freely accessible

Wow thanks. I was thinking of "leatherass" constantly, but didn't know he was the author of that known book. I wanna be like Tommy Angelo, meditating (also bhakti yoga) and helping others. I see many people suffering who are losing or break-even, depressed, frustrated... I could help these players somehow... Thanks alot for the tip

Have read it. You can not use all for the time now. But it is still worth to read. Always was waiting for a update. But he died last year
