Preflop: Hero is MP1 with T:s, A:h.
2 folds, UTG2 calls, Hero raises, 4 folds, SB 3-Bets, 2 folds, Hero calls.

Flop: (8.00 SB) 3:c, T:c, K:s (2 players)
SB bets, Hero calls.

Turn: (5.00 BB) 8:d (2 players)
SB bets, Hero calls.

River: (7.00 BB) 3:s (2 players)
SB bets, Hero calls.

Final Pot: 9.00 BB.

I thought that as way ahead/behind situation. Maybe is should had raise the flop and bet the turn and if he reraise flop then i call and unimproved i fold to his turn bet? But if he calls then i bet all streets, when straight and flush are not completed?

Hi!

Yes this hand is pretty tipical WA/WB situation(most hand that you beat has up to 3 outs except AQ and QJ) but protection is HU pots is not that important,bluff induce is values more. Therefore calldown is better way to play this.

Only thing to add is river where as default you call on such blanks but with very good reads(that he only bets good made hands) you can make a though fold.

Hi kevvu,

if you have enough equity you should go with the standardline call flop, raise turn.

If you raise the flop and get 3-bet you can't fold as he may still be just bluffing + you get good potodds to draw to your outs.

As you can see you are no favorite in the hand but you have to much equity to fold. A calldown is the best option here. You will win often enought to make that profitable.

Only a Q or J will decrease your equity a lot. However as these give you a gutshot there is still no fold and on the river the pot is to big to fold too.
