Hand converted with online PokerStrategy.com hand converter:

Play hand

$0.25/$0.5 Fixed-Limit Hold'em (9 handed)

Preflop: Hero is BB with J:c, A:h.
5 folds, BU raises, SB folds, Hero 3-Bets, BU calls.

Flop: (6.4 SB) 2:c, 9:h, 3:c (3 players)
Hero bets, BU calls.

Turn: (4.2 BB) T:s (3 players)
Hero bets, BU calls.

River: (6.2 BB) Q:s (3 players)
Hero bets, BU calls.

Final Pot: 8.2 BB.

Results follow:

Hero shows high card ace(Jc Ah).
BU shows a pair of tens(Tc 7c).

BU wins with a pair of tens(Tc 7c).

Or is it better to check/fold river?

Hi!

Certainly bet on the river is not good. You are not a favourite with A high on that board and he will not fold a pair here.

The question is weather to c/c or c/f.So what is his range after he calls flop:every Ax will call flop, every pair,Kx,and high Qx or Jx+every pair of course,FD

After your turn bet his range narrows: still Ax,KJ,QJ,Q8s+pairsž,FD
Also 44-88,9x,FD,Tx,straights would have probably raise somwhere.

Now we come to the river where the Q falls the only hands that you still beat are Ax.
If you check Ax and busted FD.Axwill mostly check behind ,because it has some value. Also there are not that many Busted Fd in his range(7c8c,Kcxc)So I like to c/f here the most against unknown

turn and river cards are quite horrible so i guess i like c/f as well. c/c wouldn´t be very bad though imo
