You are no favorite but I still like the check/raise somehow as he will check behind so many hands on the turn that you beat.
The only problem would be a turnraise as he may do it sometimes as a draw. But if he is not very aggressive I don't think that this will happen too often on this limit so you can find a fold. Else yo bet all streets as you did.
