No specific reads on villain, except that he was a squeeze monkey. His stats were 26/20/2/32 (VPIP/PFR/AF/WTSD) over 265 hands.
There was a hand before when he squeezed into a UTG raiser and two cold callers and I shoved (I was one of the cold callers) and he folded.
Other than that there's no history or anything.

Is that a bit overplayed in your opinion?

I think he´d raise flop with his two pair or set, and since it is kind of hard to flop straight, then I like your c/rai on the turn
Your hand isn´t easier to play if you c/c turn and then face shove on the river
And b/f that spot seems also kind of weak

I think i'd bet the turn myself.
It's not optimal to bet but if you check he's not going to bet 99-QQ or draws, so he doeesn't make any mistakes and you minimize the value you get from worse hands.
If you bet and he shoves it seems to suck because you have to call - but you would've been AI vs better hands anyway by checkraising, he is betting 100% of them if you check to him.

Why do you prefer check/raising opposed to betting?

well it depends on the image we have, but i guess hero is reasonably loose, so donks quite a lot of flops thats why K is a very bad card for whole of our perceived donking range which includes some just pure oesds i guess, or gutters+overs etc.. hence to balance also c/f in this spot and knowing he s agro enough to barell that card with most of his draws i like c/r for value most.

ofc if hero was tighter than its prolly more reasonable to lead turn again.
