Situation is as follows.

Hand converted with online PokerStrategy.com hand converter:

Play hand

$25/$50 No-Limit Hold'em (8 handed)

Known players:

Preflop: Hero is BB with 7:d, 7:h.
UTG2 calls $50.00, 4 folds, BU calls $50.00, SB calls $25.00, Hero checks.

Flop: ($200) 3:c, 3:s, 2:s (4 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $100.00, UTG2 raises to $250.00, SB folds, Hero ???

What should I do? Does the villain have often enough pockets below 77 me to shove here? I think, if I shove, he could sometimes fold even 77, 88, 99, maybe TT. Calling is not an option imo, because there's a flush draw and lots of overcards that could kill my 77. It is quite unlikely that he has 3.

Is my bet ok?

MP1 folds, Hero calls $50.00, 3 folds, SB calls $25.00, BB checks.

Flop: ($150) 3:s, 3:c, 2:s (3 players)
SB checks, BB checks, Hero bets $80.00, SB raises to $200.00, BB folds, Hero ???

Here I think I should fold. Mainly because check/raise against two op seems rather strong and unlike the previous hand, this time villain limped from the SB and he could easily have a 3 (hand like A3s). And of course, 66 are little bit weaker than 77.

Any opinions?

ok in both situations i would bet/fold flop.

1. you are playing your low pp for set value pre flop so you should usually stick to a 'no set no bet' line.

2. leading out is fine because you do have some value, however stacking off in these spots is too marginal, especially when you have a huge edge in push fold stages at these limits.

3. against 2 overcards with a flush draw you are flipping and thats not what you want at this early stage.

I agree that folding is best for the second hand. But in the first i think it depends. If I know, that he plays his draws agressively, then you might be right - I don't have to take the risk of flipping. But if he has more likely some kind of a made hand, then it depends on whether I have some fold equity against 77-TT. If I have, then I should push. Against an average opponent in this limit I think they would rather call with a flush draw against two opponents. Since he re-raised, I still think i should push. But then again, an average op in this limit would call too loose with an overpair like 77-TT... Yeah, maybe your're right and this is too marginal for risking my stack. If I had 99 or TT in this situation, would you push?

The first one is an instant fold I think, once he reraises you small with the sb still to act I think you are beat. Sure you will be folding the best hand sometimes but more often than not you are facing a higher pair.

Think of it in ranges...

So he limped UTG, we know "most" sng players limp their pocket pairs and when raising with them they are usualy in late position.
Some players like to limp AA and KK UTG so we cant rule that out.
This is providing he is not a complete donk.

So basicly the only hands he can have are pocket pairs and I would weight them towards higher pocket pairs due to the blind size and he still has about the starting stack.

I think almost always he has 99+

Without the villans stats though its hard to say
