Your hand has a lot of showdown value + you need to get some value from worse hands. the only way you are going to get value from worse hands is to c/c on this board or c/r. I wouldn't worry too much about protection here because you have the redraw to the nut flush if a spade decides to hit the turn and that's the only thing were really protecting against.

checking flop gives us a few options. we can evaluate if someone bets, how much they bet, whether we have potential FE on a shove. and if there is a lot of action behind us we can easily fold our medium strength hand.

so my line here is probably c/r shove flop due to the stack sizes.

Bet/shove is my personal line. Never ever fold to his raise with A7 here. He has a worse 7 (which we absolutely crush) very very often in this spot with his raise, or a flushdraw.

I bet here because it's a limped pot and although we can kinda afford to see a freecard here (we have A :spade:), the chances MP bluffs is less than the chance an unfavourable turn rolls off (lets say they have 3 outs to outdraw us between them, and we don't know which card 8-J,K hurts us). So I'd prefer just to bet/get it in on the flop + this way we can stack more 7x hands.
