Hand converted with online PokerStrategy.com hand converter:

Play hand

$25/$50 No-Limit Hold'em (7 handed)

Known players:
[tg]CO$1450.00:///////;BU$1545.00:///////;SB$1105.00:///////;BB (Hero)$1171.00:///////;MP1$3185.00:///////;MP2$1156.00:///////;MP3$3888.00:///////;[/tg]

Preflop: Hero is BB with Q:c, 7:c.
5 folds, SB raises to $100.00, Hero calls $50.00.

Flop: ($200) J:s, 8:c, J:d (2 players)
SB bets $500.00, Hero raises to $1,071.00(All-In), SB folds, Hero gets uncalled bet back.

Final Pot: $700.

I know it's early, but i believe he didn't consider his stack before making that bet, and if that flop hit him in any way he would not bet it, at least not by that amount.

WHY? why would you go all in with Q high. I'm sorry but that was absolutely horrible play by both of you. I'm assuming your playing $1 sng's. I'm currently grinding $0,25 sng's, and what do i do? I focus on how i play, now on how other people play. (exept for taking notes ofcourse). Because betting 500 in 200 pot is an absolute donkey play. Most of the time i think they will have a strong hand and bet alot or bluff like here.

But why would you risk your whole sng figuring that out? he could have an 8, j
or a pocket pair. Or even K high it doesn't matter, you would have been behind at alot of hands even if he did call.

You should have just let him have it on the flop and pick a better spot. If your 100% sure he does that everytime with rags then atleast call him when you got like lowest pair atleast.. Although i would recommend just folding it. it's not worth it, because eventualy you will pay him off by reraising his donk bet and running into two pair, trips or even pair with you high card.

p.s. your lucky he was a fish and folded, because he was getting great odds to call and was already pot commited

calling pre is marginal but acceptable if you know how to control yourself post-flop.

and shoving Q high against an overbet is just burning money.

so fold pre so you dont get tempted to bluff ur chips away.

SnGs are about value hands. dont ever bluff in a SnG, probably the most important rule for a micro-stakes SnG player.
