7 years warmup should be long enough

Not played much as per normal, railed a lot, read a lot, chatted Strategy a bit, watched a few videos, attended some live coaching. So all in all a lot of hours spent on poker again as per normal. Its on my mind almost every waking minute I just hope this time spent is of value.

Any way still short of my first 100 games of 45 mans, pathetic I know. I have considered looking for a coaching deal and am confident with my Stats I would have a good chance of getting taken on, but I know my volume, quite rightly is not acceptable and it would be unfair of any coach to get involve with me. However if I can get change this then I may consider this approach,

I feel limp is ok at L1 other's don't and I think position might be the issue.

I'd say raising AA instead of limping or shoving is best. Yeah maybe some people are calling super light with stuff like JTs or even K2o or whatever. But at the same time I think you miss a decent amount of value against the players that don't call with random junk. If you have a read that a few players at your table will call with junk though, then it's probably fine.

imo raise > shove > limp

TT I agree with raise/call, though shoving is probably fine as well considering stack sizes. I prefer raise/call though, gives them some room to potentially spazz, and looking at stack sizes you're probably not giving up your pair of TT on most boards anyway.

Fail even on 100 $1.50 sng's, family here and they top trump every thing.

Ok we got sng's from 18th which was I first started to take note, sng's for the month as an whole and then sng's and T combined. Either way you look at it we made a little. It is about right with my BR which stands at just north of $800

HEM and SS don't agree on numbers, I see then HEM has uncompleted games, I suspect that these are problems with HH, could obviously be an issued if you needed to reply on this info

BTW I intend to turn that negative in the 1.50 back around within the 100 grrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Not sure what is the matter we me, think I need help to focus on what I want. Just reading lots on 6 max sng's and now wondering if this is the way ahead.

Used the stars FPP's calculator and can see why STsng's are popular, easier to fit in 200 a day of them rather than 200 45 man's. So going for Rakeback then STsng, if profit MTsng . I know ROI comes first but both is the nutz I guess.

Any way start my grind tonight, new month ish, fresh focus and if I can't get some volume in for what ever reason then I am up shit creek. Hmmmmm golden sng's what's the chances of hitting one, two or moreeeeeeeeee.

Spent a lot of the day reading Tim' Blog, Liar dice. Well started reading it all then realised how big it was and therefore had to skip 10 pages at a time. Its kind of weird reading someone's poker journey from humble beginning's up to where they are now.

All its done for me though is to really question again, how many actually make it. Not very many I suspect and I feel those that do are the more intelligent ones. Doh that's me scuppered..

Well I got my 100,tbf running like pants, but who doesn't. Its becoming a matter of principle now to get this back to at least even. If I can't beat these I up the creek again.

Well, I just read your full blog from start to finish on the laptop while Mrs. Bell watches all the tripe on TV.

Loved what I read and feel we have similarities:

I too dislike my job.
I often question my intelligence regarding succeeding at this game.
I too have not read Tim64's full blog (sorry coach).
I constantly think about the game and draw comparisons with everything.
I too am thinking which variation is best.
Oh and I also volunteer (as a mentor for young lads).

One thing is for sure. You are a winning player. I am not (yet).

I play 6 max STSNGs and for now am enjoying em. MTTs are not possible because of full time shit job stuff. Cash isn't really for me as I too get bored and need action. Played some live cash last night and had a VPIP of about 75% and lost some obvs.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. We love the game so will succeed and if we don't then it's variance ♦

Hi guys,

Any body got any links that are worth reading on PMA ? I remember some years ago I read a little book about PMA in the workplace and its helped me a lot. A friend went to hospital and I lent it to her but it some how got lost. As I said this was some time ago and with the whole world open to us on this new fangled interwebthingy I guess there must be good resources out there. Any thoughts/links/recommendations guys?

Incidentally whist surfing on utube for some of the above I bumped into a Tony Robbins clip and I found it very thought provoking. In particular he tells a of story of a young Mum who had to allow her self to be raped to ensure the safety of her children, she then went on to get Cancer and through all of that got her life in order. When I looked at my life, I pretty much have nothing to moan about. Any way guys what are your thoughts on guys like Tony Robbins, or any life coach for that matter?

PMA is so important. not just in poker but in RL as well. I've spent the majority of my life as a positive person constantly put in my place by people who say things like 'It'll never happen' or 'You ain't good enough to do that'.

It's all CRAP.

You are ever only restrained by your beliefs. As long as you believe in your abilities you will achieve.

ALWAYS REMEMBER THAT.

I can not emphasise that more clearly than saying 'That is the be all and end all' because it is.

Cheers mate, this is something that needs to be in the front of your mind all of the time. Let your guard down and negative thoughts soon come home to roost. I am surrounded my a very dejected and demotivated workforce and it is hard not to get sucked into that thought process but am trying hard to avoid it.
