I've registered for it, got time before the champions league final and i'll probably be playing at that time anyway:) Would be good to get some played when we are all available, could be difficult though :) haha yeh maybe we should set up a group Laz?

who do you guys want to win? I'd like Dortmund, just because they are losing some good players over the summer and may not get another shot at it whereas i think munich will

Cool guys. Really appreciate your interest, The problem with my home game is it is full of my friends, only a few of which are passionate about poker.

The aim is to get a group of micro limit players together for the regular friendly games. As we get more members I will expand the range of games and /or limits.

I'm always open to suggestions so feel free to post on the wall inside Home Games or join "Lazza's Home Game" group in the community section on PokerStrategy.

I will also be starting a blog with the same name.

Well the last one isn't really a bad beat. You're actually a 40% dog in that hand ;)

The other ones definitely suck though. But you can't win them all even if you're a 4:1 favorite.

Fish are an exception here of course, they can win them all even if they're a 4:1 dog

All joking aside, don't be too worried. In tournaments these kind of beats hurt a lot more than in cash games because you can't just reload. However, just wait for the day where you'll be the one dishing out all the beats. Those are the epic days, the days on which you forget all about your previous losses and just make a lot of profit.

Sure they're rare days, but they exist, believe it or not! :f_cool:

Haha cheers man :) i need some of those epic days to come along soon! :) are you sure they still exist :P ?

ah, qk is still pushable though? :)

lol yeh i have noticed fish seem to win when they are the underdog a lot today, i don't mind though, if i'm mostly pushing the right range and getting bad beat then i can't complain too much.

It turned around a bit somehow! and i've made a reasonble profit today, came 2nd in a 0.50 turbo and a few other good itm. When i was big stack headsup my ak lost to qj though.

I'm somehow enjoying the turbo games at the moment, i used to never play them because i hated them but now i'm loading up most of my volume with 0.50 and $1 turbos both 45 and 90 man

Yes they do in fact exist :f_biggrin:

Yeah, KQ is a super easy shove in that spot. You played that hand perfectly, just unlucky to run into AT there.

haha well i'll keep an eye out for them through my telescope! lol. cool i think i would definitely have pushed any suited ace high suited kings, q-j + 22+ and maybe more.
+$13.04 so ended up alright but i think it could have been double that.

Actually managed 9 itm out of 13, prettty insane, and that was a session with too many bad beats! why am i complaining tho :)., 2,4,5,5,5,5,7,9,13.

Sorry guys. But with those stack sizes the correct play with KQ would have been steal/fold. BBs are suspicious of SB shoves and will generally call light.

You were in a pretty strong position and shouldn't be risking it against a stack of similar size. It's only an easy shove into a small stack imo.

Anyway check out the new weekly series in the Home Game starting next weekend.

There's a nice spread of different games and different limts and different structures. How many times can you have different in a sentence? lol

I disagree. KQ blind vs blind is almost the nuts. If they stack off light bvb, then KQ goes up in value even more.

Not sure if this is a final table or what ICM considerations should be taken into account here because I don't know what tournament it is/how many players are left. But if you raise/fold here with KQ you're just a super nit tbh.

Especially if you raise small, you induce a ton of reshoves with stuff like suited kings, suited connectors, broadways, etc. So you definitely cannot possibly raise/fold in this spot. There's a case to be made for just open jamming, and there's a case to be made for raise/call. Both are fine. But you can never raise/fold or open fold here. That's just way, way too weak.

In a normal chip ev spot, I'd probably raise something like 60% here. Would have to run some numbers, so it might be a bit more or a bit less, but KQ is definitely one of the hands I would not plan on folding.

I agree Tino but my argument was more on stack sizes. It's a much better hand to shove into smaller stacks. I don't know what ICM would say, but to me It looks like you are risking $6.75 (i.e 3rd place) to gain $1.05 (i.e 2nd place).

This view doesn't truly represent ICM but you should be able to see a risk/reward factor. And I don't think it was a +Ev play from an ICM view although I may be proved wrong.

I disagree once again :)

Assuming this is the final table of a 45 man, which seems reasonable...

http://www.holdemresources.net/h/web-calculators/nashicm/results.html?action=calculate&bb=1200&sb=600&ante=125&structure=0.31%2C0.215%2C0.165%2C0.125%2C0.09%2C0.06%2C0.035&s1=18293&s2=3656&s3=12572&s4=8832&s5=41176&s6=10780&s7=9045&s8=15180&s9=15466&s10=

You can shove any two blind vs blind ;)

So my 60% was quite a bit off. Perhaps I wouldn't truly open any two, especially if BB calls more than 10% of hands, but I'd still be shoving or raise/calling super wide.

You're really overthinking this here imo. Getting it in here with KQ is super standard imo.

No way Tino. So much equity is lost on that call unless you are shoving QQ+ or AK. With 13 BBs you can still run steal/ fold. Villian will only 3 bet 99+, AQo, ATs type hands, unless he's creative or he thinks you have been running plays or exploiting him

I'm not saying raise/fold isn't an option, I'm just saying it's not really an option with KQ. But perhaps well have to agree to disagree on this one.

Perhaps this is a good spot to post in the evaluation forums?

Also adam, sorry for hijacking the thread again :f_biggrin:

It's not about the raise. It's about stack sizes and equity. Are you sure you're not to hung up on cash games

Well, i posted it in the hand evaluation forum so lets see what tiltberger thinks :)

I got up to my highest point of 168 a few week ago but then it's been hovering around 160 for a few weeks but i managed to get it up to 169 today, but now it's back down to just above 160. Probably my fault for playing again tonight when i'm tired. I just can't believe that i'm not managing to build my bankroll upwards when i feel i'm playing a pretty good game at the moment, it's soo frustrating i must have played hundreds of games now at break even
