Of course .. I couldn't resist the urge to get into MTTs with money on Pokerstars. :f_biggrin:

Doing pretty damn well in a $1 with like 3K players. 200 left. I'm 2nd, so unless a disaster happens I should reach the top 30 easy. Hope the luck holds out. :f_cool:

Actually I'm playing so tight on that table because I have that 40 VPIP fish to my left. Can't steal his blinds. :f_frown: I was playing like 25/20 on the other tables I was on.

Didn't play poker all week this week. Been busy, and really wasn't motivated at all to play.

To update the previous post, I busted 50th on that tournament for only $6, which after 4 hours of play, that and nothing is the same. I've been so disconnected from poker this week I can't even remember what hand I busted with I think it was an Ax vs. Ax can't remember if I was the one with the bigger ace. Really shows how little I get worked up about bad beats/disappointments on the tables lately. Which is definitely good.

Today started the session playing some NL2 on pokerstars, I was bored out of my mind after ten minutes. I just can't stand grinding NL2 only on a high volume site like pokerstars. Too many nits, people playing tricky, etc. which I just find boring right now for some reason. I've really grown to like the play dynamic on William Hill, and getting back to this type of poker bored me off the tables in minutes.

I ended up on the $1 SNGs, 45, 90 and 180 man. Current bankroll up to $36, started off well on those, but I think even 36 BI is too little br for those swingy SNGs. But I'll stick to these till I bust or make enough of a br to play NL5 or NL10 at least. Actually could have ended with a much bigger br, busted a 180 on the bubble being among the chip leader vs. a big stacked fish. That kind sucked.

Played some short SNG sessions the last two days. Played 5 45 man SNGs and one MTT each session. BR up to $43 now.

No luck in the MTTs but I've gotten a couple 1st places in the 45s. I'm not reaching the money as often as I'd like, but when I do, I'm finding such weak play in the final tables that it's a piece of cake to end up in the top 3. Seems all the loose fish shit in their pants once in the final table and their vpip all of sudden goes from 50 to 10 and tight players play even less hands trying to fold into the money. Ship away!! And then others become maniacs in the final table and one only has to wait to stack off on them. Really very exploitable play. Hopefully I can keep this up and make it to $250 or so. Although now I'm leaning towards only playing MTT SNGs and big MTTs on Pokerstars .. just not really feeling like grinding on any cash tables there.

On William Hill, I haven't even logged in for over a week, even though there is a very nice bonus on. I just don't feel like playing cash at the moment. Weird. But I guess all in all it's another positive. I don't feel lured into playing for bonuses anymore.

Another short SNG session. Played a set of 6, BR up to $50 now. Could have been more, but bubbled 2 and in the heads up I got to, the fish got lucky. Got to a point where I was deep in all 6, with most tables shorthanded which provided a lot of action, like a window popping up every second. The 2nd place I got was in the only 90 man on I played in the session. I think I made the right adjustment there, I had bubbled like one 90 man and two 180 man in the last few session bu being too loose on the bubble there, when it's more important to reach the final table in those bigger fields and then exploit the final table instead of spewing away chips in shorthanded bubble play.

Too early to get to any conclusions but it seems I'm quite ahead of the field. Of course the variance is sick here and I could easily bust my br. But at $50 I'm starting to reach safe territory. Once I reach $100 I'd say I'm safe to play turbo 45/90/180 man SNG.

Unfortunately for some reason in this latest update, pokerstars has eliminated the 180 man $1's, which really sucks. 90 mans fill up way slow, so I'm playing like five 45 man and one 90 man SNG in my sets of 6 right now. 180 man turbos are now only available at $2.50 buyin.

Felt like playing some cash today. Extremely solid session. Didn't lose a single big pot and left every single table with profit. Seems like I play my best after layoffs. I now see I was getting into unoptimal situations in my last few sessions weeks ago. Today I went back to playing an A game.

Played a mix of william hill tables and pokerstars tables. Actually was planning to only play William Hill, but traffic was so low I played 6 tables (mix of NL2 NL4 NL5 and NL10 tables) on WH and 3 NL2 tables at the same time on Pokerstars.

Funny thing is that I've been complaining about having to excessively select tables on WH, on pokerstars it seems one as to table select even more. One table I didn't even get to post my blind and left because the fishy looking players dropped out before my blind even came, another one I was at for like 5 minutes before it got tight and the other maybe 30 minutes and then the fish dropped out and it got ridiculously tight. Meanwhile on William Hill I only had to replace two of the original 6 tables and on 4 of them I played for a full hour or so from start to end of the session.

Oh forgot to mention on William Hill I passed 4K WH points, so I could redeem my first $2.50 VIP cash reward, but I guess I'll let more points accumulate, it's more beneficial to claim bigger cash rewards for example 24K points are $20, 8x times more cash for 6x more points, which is a good difference, but I guess that will take me like an year to accumulate at this pace. :f_biggrin:

I also got a $2.50 bonus to clear from today's session from getting more then 10 WH points on more then one table. So that was nice. Barely 110WH points are needed to clear every $1 of bonus with 40 days to clear, so I have no doubt this is one of the best promos I've seen in a poker room, super easy to clear. In particular awesome promo for low volume players like me (not that great for big volume players since you only get 1 bonus a day). Easy to achieve and plenty of days to clear. Promo runs till May 30th. Hopefully I'll get 2 or 3 more sessions in before then.

Played a good amount of SNGs and MTTs yesterday. But ended the day exactly breakeven. BR $50. Played around 14 45man, 3 90man and 3 $1 and $2 big MTTs. No luck in the big MTTs bubbled or went out early in all of them, I guess I'm not as good or as lucky as Ihufa. :f_biggrin: I feel really solid in my play, I think good results will come. In the big MTTs I'm now playing to win and only playing turbo, that's why I'm busting out early .. I'm tired of playing MTTs to only reach the small money, so that's a big change compared to my previous stints playing MTTs.

Had a very good session on the 45's today, made the final table in all 5 I played. Also made the money in a $2 big MTT, unfortunately only minimum cashed, got pretty unlucky with flopped trips soon after the bubble.

Yesterday on the other hand was horrendous, the typical MTT/SNG session where you lose every 70/30, your overpairs don't hold up, etc. Yesterday I was down to $42. But now I'm up to $58 BR, so I'm still moving up.

Although I do think that I made some adjustments from yesterday, I was definitely playing too spewy on the bubble and it seems I'm getting called like 50% of the time even on the bubble in these low buyin SNG's. So today I tightened up in the mid/bubble phase except in tables where I was sure the players were tight.

Wow, so all hell breaks lose all of a sudden. Now I'm happy that I suck at poker and had to find a real job. Can't imagine the sick feeling for people that are depending on poker for a living and have a good amount of money stuck on FTP and I suspect many or most sites will be following suit. :(

I dont think you should go crazy early on and bust early, busting early is still very fishy.

However, you should raise first in more often when the antes are on the table if you are a nit. Otherwise there is nothing wrong with playing tight in mtts even if you play for the win.

Just dont let you stack go down to less than 8-10 bb, especially beware of this on the bubble for example.

So I've been back on the tables for 4 days after at least 6 months off. I found a long time friend that moved to Argentina and he played some live poker a couple of years back and it got my thirst back.

Only site I have $$$ left was William Hill so I've been using like $40 I had there. Had $2 at pokerstars but couldn't turn that into anything or my FPPs. So I've been playing $1 SNGs turbo and normal and Steps SNGs and some MTTs (which are scarce there).

Today on the 2nd MTT I played there (played $2 rebuy last Sunday), got 3rd place. Had some shitty luck when we were eliminating the 4th place and lost like 1/2 my stack calling a bluffing chip leader who got lucky on the river. Then no luck, on the sb with K7o .. bb had K10o .. that was it for my tourney and lost out on an extra $40 or $100 for 2nd or 1st. Regardless, I loved how I played, only made one error, close to the bubble losing 1/3 of my stack needlessly, but my health stack kept me in it.

Anyway, really happy with this result and very motivating to say the least. I've really begun with the right foot. Oh, and I'm depositing $50 in pokerstars, want to play the $1 million storm, what a sick payout for a $10 investment. Below some screenshots.

Tournament 646622621 on William Hill $500 GTD Turbo R/A $3.30 01:30 April 12 2012

Had the chiplead from the bubble until there were 5 left

Called to eliminate 4th place, bummer - spewy chip leader rivers me for 1/2 my stack, I'm out 3 hands latter on Kx.

OK, I seem to be on some type of roll now. Another top three finish today, in a small time tourney at William Hill. Really loved how I played this, I'm feeling so comfy in push/fold phase. DEFO playing the $1 million storm on Stars, depositing tomorrow. Might finally be my time to have the luck at the right time. The funniest thing is that I'm close to the largest BR I ever had on any site in WH right now after a couple days of casual playing. :f_p:

BTW, loved the tourney format, really gives a good push/fold player a MASSIVE edge. Hopefully I can grow my bankroll to play $10 tourneys of this type soon.

Tourney 647031251 $3.30 Rocket 6 max short stack 3rd out of 27 players for $16.20

Chip leading the final two tables

Game over, pushed Ax into JJ chipleader (equal stacks). 3rd place.

Final tabled yet again tonight, on an even bigger tourney.

Tourney 647368771 $3.30 rebuy $2000 guaranteed 9th out of 307 for $51,08

Was 2nd or 3rd most of the tournament. Truly impecably played, but unfortunately busted by a loose fish on final table. I really don't think I played bad a single hand. Just the luck gods abandoning me at the wrong time, that double up would have put me in the top 3 easy. Sigh.

A5o busted by Q9o, don't need to say anything more, to top it off the short stack had 3K chips and won a $20 increment thanks to me. LOL. :f_p:

Final tabling streak is over. Yesterday, zippo luck, TOTALLY card dead after the rebuy period was over in two tourneys, I mean, nothing better then Q high and Q3o for that. Fortunately I was on fire on the steps SNGs, nailed a ton of tourney $$$, so that made up for the losses.

Today, in the money on all three MTTs I played, unfortunately, busted out of all three with premium hands with a healthy stack 15-20bb in each case, vs. river suckouts. Such is poker.

Results as follow :

$1 turbo 24/179 $2.51
$1 rebuy (no addon) 123/1918 $3.52
$0.50 rebuy 74/393 $4.53

Probably will try to avoid the $1 and 0.50 rebuy in the future, they have a real weird structure, they start off as speed tourneys and then the blinds start going up super slow, and it takes forever to bust the bubble, needless to say, to reach the final table.

Basically the playable tourneys on William Hill are the $1 turbo, $2 turbo rebuy $3 turbo rebuy.

Didn't have much luck on steps SNGs today, nailed some tickets, but a lot of card dead tourneys where I didn't win a single hand in the tourney. In turbo SNGs played two, for two 2nd places.

Oh, finally couldn't make time to deposit on Stars, so I didn't played the Sunday Storm, next time I guess.

Also forgot to mention, massively glitchy day on William Hill, all the tourney info was wrong or nonexistent. Really frustrating. I was playing blind, didn't know if I was even in the money or not in any of the tourneys till I busted out and got the notices of in what place I had ended. It's really not the ideal way to play.

Decent day I'd say, only ended with a mild $5 loss, despite a nightmarish day luckwise.

Played two $3.30 turbo rebuys. First one, was doing great, and in the last turn of the rebuy period I got screwed for 10K of my stack by some fish calling light, it left me with just above 2K, less then 2 buyins, and clearly doomed.

In the second one, ended 13/102 good for $20.53. AJs couldn't bust KK. Had more then 10 BI, so winning that hand would have virtually guaranteed a final table place. Next time I guess.

In SNG's nightmarish day, bubbling many tourney, fortunately, made tokens or made the money in 3 of the last 4 I played, to recover some of the losses.

So all in all, I think it was a more then positive day, I was able to maintain my level of play and pull through with some winnings at the end of the session, despite a streak of bad luck and weird hands that might have made anyone tilt. Got runner runnered at least 3 times, Ax vs. better Ax a ton of times, my pocket pairs never held to crappy Ax and Kx, and when I had premium hands got like the funkiest results in the world, like AK vs. AK vs. AK (first time I ever see that in 300K+ hands in my lifetime history), AA vs. KK vs. QQ, all three splitting the pot when the board runner runners a straight, got runner runner gutshoted twice with high pair. All your typical bad beats happening in like a 10 or 15 minute span.
