Here is the video:

only problem that pc was lagging and so I choose MPEG mode in recording software and it did not record hud.

I had made videos with this program earlier, and they were fine, not sure why today was lag. CPU was not always 100 %. But maybe still I had to close as many programs as possible.

But there were few spots where hud needed only. One I remember was like xr light when he cbets 80-90 %.

In case something looks wrong, then tell the time and hand, and I will check stats.

Color codes - red - reg, blue - nit, green - weak player

There is no talking, so if you do not like music, you can mute it.

Very low wtsd mine is 30, fold to 3bet and fold to 4bet also very high. Fold to cbet on all streets also very high.

Very low wtsd mine is 30

I started bluffcatching less when they 3 barrel or raise rivers. Also river cbet success is high, so maybe I should barrel rivers more. Since they fold on rivers, maybe that is part of reason why wtsd is low. Or maybe other ideas? And as I remember 20-30 is ok.

fold to 4bet also very high

yea, vs 3bets I think I play like weazel charts, maybe thats because players are not 3beting at my limit as much? I am not sure. Yea, sometimes it feels like I would like to fight them back, looks like they are getting out of line.

Vs 4bets I do not know exactly how to play.

Fold to cbet on all streets also very high.

there will need to work on.

I have just watched your video and here is what I´ve noticed.

First of all, why don´t we use HUD? I see you have poker tracker, so it should be no problem, right? I mean, when I play without HUD it´s like I´m blind and can´t really make accurate desicions. Simple stats, like VPIP, RFI, 3bet would make us more money. Edit: Now I read what you wrote beneath under the video, so ignore this .

Preflop sizings, you used 3BB when you were in the small blind with pocket AA and then used same sizings when you were in UTG. I would recommend smaller sizings in the SB (basically same as in BU and CO). I personally use 3,5BB - UTG + MP; 2,5BB - CO, BU and SB. This works for me well.

Another thing (video at 7:30), you have AQ in the BB facing big open from BU and you decide to 3bet, which is absolutely ok, but I would keep my sizing to be 3x + 0,5x for not being in position postflop. Then on the flop K comes, which hits our range pretty well, I would cbet and then give up.
Edit: Yeah, I misread it, sorry my bad. Well, so you 4 bet. Honestly, I don´t really 4bet UTG against BU, so I´m not sure there. The reason is, that when BU 3bets against UTG, I´d expect him to hold very strong cards, so I would be very careful what to 4bet there. In my opinion you got there into tough spot and as it´s NL10, I would try to avoid that and keep it simple.

9:50, KAs. Call to donk OTF I call, but when villain does it again OTT I raise it. As played, pot sized bet OTR is out of question imo, I would make it half pot.

Edit: No, I don´t think it´s terrible play, but I like raising there more, because those small bets scream weakness and villain would fold his low pairs probably and if not, we still have plenty of outs. RIsking that you will be 3 betted, well, how often does this actually happen? I believe it´s rare and if he does it, we get valuable note.
I think, fish wouldn´t lay down Qx to smaller bet either. Targeting some random K, well I think, if villain hits K OTR he would keep cbetting.

Edit2: I didn´t mention raising OTF, because fish sometimes do this and it´s their way to slowplay, so I would be afraid of villain to 3bet or some crazy move. However, when he does it again OTT I start to believe, that he is more showing weakness, then having the nuts.
If you believe he would call you with worse, than you can pot it of course :).

24:30, bottom left. Nice, that you decide to bluff and represent heart flush, but when he doesn´t fold, there is no sense in going on OTR imo. He is obviously not scared of hearts, so just give up.

25:10, top right. Why you use 2x as a raise? I´ve always used 3,5x, but truth is, that I don´t really remember why, so 2x is standard? Anyway, I would choose better spot to c/r. We have 3rd pair, I would prefer doing this with 2nd pair.

26:10, bottom left. I would call there once. We have position and 2nd pair should be good enough. Of course it depends on villain.

Edit: So, I saw whole video and I generally I would recommend you not to be passive. Try to be active in spots, because when we stay passive, villains can easily force us to fold. This is what I realized myself just recently and I think it´s really important.

I guess depends on spots.

maybe you misread the hand, but I am 4beting with AQ, and he calls 4bet, and I call AK preflop, so K does not hit my range, besides KK so I do not rep much. And his range is super strong here once he calls 4bet in those positions. So I do not expect folds.

9:50, KAs. Call to donk OTF I call, but when villain does it again OTT I raise it. As played, pot sized bet OTR is out of question imo, I would make it half pot.

yea, could raise maybe. But is the call really so bad? I get good odds and not risk being 3beted.
On river - he could have hit Kx, so I target those, and I think fish will not lay down Kx to pot bet.

I dont do that much also, but weazel recomments, so its ok. They fold from time to time, and if I do only with KK+, then its not as optimal I guess.

No, I don´t think it´s terrible play, but I like raising there more, because those small bets scream weakness and villain would fold his low pairs probably and if not, we still have plenty of outs. maybe then we should raise flop while we have even better equity? Yea, 3bet is rare.
I also think that fish can call Qx even vs pot bet. At least if I had air, I would not try to bluff out Qx. He might stop betting because it is 2nd pair, but its hard for them to fold, plus as a bonus there are busted draws.

I post the hand so it would be easier:

iPoker - €0.10 NL (6 max) - Holdem - 6 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

MP: 149.6 BB
CO: 287.2 BB
BTN: 73.1 BB
SB: 47 BB
BB: 246.1 BB
Hero (UTG): 183.9 BB

SB posts SB 0.5 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has K♥ A♥

Hero raises to 3 BB, fold, fold, fold, SB calls 2.5 BB, fold

Flop: (7 BB, 2 players) 4♥ 8♦ Q♥
SB bets 2 BB, Hero calls 2 BB

Turn: (11 BB, 2 players) 3♦
SB bets 2 BB, Hero calls 2 BB

River: (15 BB, 2 players) K♣
SB checks, Hero bets 15 BB, fold

Hero mucks K♥ A♥ (One Pair, Kings)

Hero wins 29 BB

villain 42/0 12 hands

Ok, so yet another year passed. Lets look how I was doing.

Too bad did not beat NL20, and not even breakeven which was close, but got a downwing at the end.

At least other lower limits helped to cover NL20 loses, so I was breakeven and lucky that I am runing like 280 $ over EV :)

Also I have played tournaments, lot of them from tickets.
So in dollars I made 97 $, plus euro tournamests profit: 204

Tournament profits are good for fish like because they are from free tickets. Without tickets would be much worse.

PLus bonuses about 100 eur , but I do not like to count them as winnings cause then you can be losing player but count yourself as winner because you get more from bonuses than you loose.

Also I should count on private coaching where I spent 100 $. (Do not blame the coach that I do not win, I had not even finished fixing my stats yet to what he said, still working on this :) )

So overall profit is about 300 $. Better than 0 or losing. But not so good when thinking how much years I have spent and making like 3k eur would be something to show to poker haters and to myself that I can make this. Still 3k is not huge money comparing to what I earn in real job, but having in mind that it is just part time hobby, that would be huge.

I imagine how much it could be if I win at NL20 at least 1 bb/ 100. Then I could put more volume and make much more.

Or - I would think, maybe this 1bb/100 is variance and I can beat it at 5 bb/100 and because of this jump to NL50 and then again have same graph as I have now NL20

Hi, checked also last year report of 2015. So even when winings does not look huge, those 300 are much better, because year ago I reported 44 $ of winnings (played only from september - december) but still monthly was much better even with NL20 downwing.

Still not playing much, cause few days came back from work thinking too much about work problems that poker was not in my head. Also analising my game, cause now I am not sure how to improve. I want to fix my BB defence, but lack of knowledge how. I just know that I defend it too little and for some reasons by weazel charts I am not able to get the required frequency.

I guess I will start to call wider than his chart shows vs SB if I see loose open, but still do not have clear path - what I should consider loose SB open and how much I should expad my range.

Also probably vs BTN I should try call wider than charts.

But I guess I need to play some NL10 at least to not forget how to play. And there should be some fish on weekend night.

As my time database shows - I spent about 6 hours 45 mins of studying today !

It was not 100%, I chat also with some girls from time to time but its more or less this.

Did I learn much useful info - do not know actually. Watched a video and created summaries of hands so that I could quickly rewiew similar spots, when analisig my own hands. Maybe learned posibilities to bluff, watched video of NL100, NL200, so some bluff posibilities will not work on NL20 because people do not fold as much. But those spots could be then thin value bets. But I am not sure if I remember them in game :)

This week not playing poker and almost no studyting. Just finding something else todo. Couple of days I came back from work so exausted that I did not want to play or study or do anything serious.

Probably one of reasons is that I know that I need to learn to defend the BB better, but I am not sure how - not just blindly call vs stealers, but I should call depending on info I have on them, but I am not sure exactly how. So it feels like a lot of work to even find out. Or hire coach for anohter session. But I think I need to win back at least on lower limit my money, which I used for coaching first. Otherwise it could be that I will just spend all my bankroll if I not play but just take coachings :)

And also yesterday at night I had fund for maybe 2 hours - there was snowing and went to big almost empty car parking site and was drifiting, lot of cars, were drifiting at that moment, like 8, so it was fun. I watch how others drift, and after they go to rest, I go drift, and then they, and I again, was fun :)

Oh and btw when I came back from work so tired that did not want to do anything, I watched 1 episode of Narcos

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2707408/

I liked the first episode and would want to watch more. But I have to try to save time and do more poker learning. Will do probably when I am tired to learn. Also maybe some would want who have more time.

Just had pleasure to drift with friends 3 liter 4 wheel drive car. 4wd is the nuts :)

And if it was coupe, then it would be like royal flush probably :)

With my FWD I have to use handbrake often. There handbrake did not even work, and it was not needed, you just turn wheel, press throttle and it spins :)

Also with poker, I watched video which analized hand in like 2-3 mins, but I expermented with ranges which took me half hour. So at least I moved a bit with poker, still as on sunday - not much. Actually there is still lot of hours till sleep, I do not get where is my drive for poker gone.
I want to have fun things. Ok enough snow if not so often, so I guess its ok excuse to go drift while there is snow.
I think I do some useful stuff, but maybe bit not optimally or so, so that I spend many hours, like searching something useful about dating.

When I was a kid I had a '64 Pontiac (rear-wheel drive).
We would try to drift so that we ended up pointing directly at a fire hydrant.
We would all put in a dollar, then all take a turn, and whoever came the closest got the pot.

Lot's of fun!

Cheers,
VS

you mean you hit hydrant ?

64 Pontiac

is it like this?

and how you had a car when you was kid? how old kid ?:)

We would all put in a dollar, then all take a turn, and whoever came the closest got the pot.

took time to undestand this sentence, but now I got - you where playing for money :)

Hi SPeedFANat1c,
The fire hydrant was behind a curb -- you couldn't hit it.

Mine looked exactly like this -- although this is the USA equivalent

The car became mine when my Dad bought himself a new 1971 Plymouth. Although only 7 years old, the Pontiac was thrashed, and wasn't worth trading in.

It had less than 160000 km on the odometer, but was worn out.
So I got to use it as if it was mine. Technically, it was still his. I was 17 then.

Exactly. You could call it "target drifting".

All the best,
VS

Hi,

relatively long time since last update.

Not playing much because of few reasons - do not want to loose, do not want to play NL10 because I think its more worth to learn what I need and continue at NL20 as much as I can.

And I was thinking about BB defence a lot, tried to find which combinations I xc, which combinations I xr when vs BTN minraise and cbet.

First tried with pokerstrategy equilab, but one thing is missing - to have different colors for group - for example calls and raises.

Then tried to remember how to use combonator, and finally I got used to it, so it was easier.

Today finished this on 884fd board. Many players do not agree about having raising range, but on the other hand I have learned that I need to charge draws more. Maybe I understood wrong, because I learned when I do cbets (probably IP) that I need to bet thin - no need to give free cards. So I thought same could be OOP with trips. When it has at least 70% equity, why not charge the draws.

Of course would need to analise database more and see how often they call xr on that board. But in Alleen thread - one good player said to xr even on dry boards which do not have draws. So that was another argument for raising on this board. In case they fold too much - we can always add more bluffs.

And also I have no idea how often do they fold on turn and river after call flop xr. I believe there is also fold equity on turn, because I believe on flop they call wide.

And they might call draws on turn, and when they bust - they can easily fold to small bet them. And vs big bet hand like TT probably would not be very happy about calling vs xr bet bet.

Today played 1 hour, 2 tables NL10 and 1 NL20. Could play more time, but no motivation :(

And I even ran good today :)

And since last post:

:)

And when I was lazy to play this evening, I was motivated to read magazine about investing.

Plus this weak had not much time for poker also. Monday - free coaching about forex live. Was very interesting. One lithuanina forex pro was talking. If I would not know what to do, I would give a try to forex very likely.

One interesting thing about it is that all players play at same limit if we compare to poker. So once you learn with little money, you beat high stakes also. Only what is different from low bankroll to high bankroll is that you feel its big money and you might be scared to take risks.

But as we learned in poker - if you use safe bankroll management, you should not be scared.

He said with applying only technical analisis, which is relatively easy - you can make 15% - 30 % profit (per year probably). I am not sure how he calculates it also.
Lets say I have 1000 eur roll. Do I make then 300 eur? Ok. but if I have 10000 roll, but Iam scared to invest big sums, and so I invest same sums as I would with 1000 rool. Then I make same 300. Now I make only 3 %.

Or I calculate wrong? Maybe I have to count from the real invested money, and not what is in bankroll. Lets say when we invest into house for rent. We count profit from the sum which costed to buy house and house repairs. Not all our bankroll which we buy houses from.
But then in forex I believe the sum is not constant. If you know its very high probability that you win, you invest bigger sum. When you feel its risky, but high rewarding, you invest smaller sum but it might make huge profit.

So then maybe some average is counted?

And also he said that if you apply fundamental analisis with technical analisis, then you make more. So it means more than 30 %. He did not tell how much exactly.

He said to learn to trade with play money first. Which is again not as in poker. Becuase in poker you face weak oponents with play money, while in forex - you practically face same, because the sums you are trading probably do not influence market price practically.

He said he every day watches, reads economic news and tries to see logic between price and new. He said to practice doing it everyday. Ask - why the price changed - on which events it depended on.

Actually economic news are not the most interesting thing to read all day, but not the terrible thing to do also. PLus as he said you can win even with technical analisis, so economic news is as a bonus.

Why I am not so enthuasiastic about this is that I believe to learn some basics might be easy as with poker. But to make some serious money I am not sure if I will do. And in forex also like 10 % or so win.

And better is to not do too many things, because there is not so much time to learn everything. Even in forex coaches say that only learn things about few currency pairs, because it is not possible to learn all pairs well.

Why I am intrested in those - maybe there is some easy way to invest long term, so that I would not need to read economy news everyday. Like they said GBP, sweden currencies, are having high probablilties to rise longterm, so maybe I could invest like into those and wait 2-3 years. But first I would like to try with play money.

One thought just came that what sucks about currencies. Lets say I invest long term into GBP, and it rises against euro. But if the governments print both euro and GBP, ok I win some, but in the end what both currencies can by is less.

Like if you invest into something real, not paper, that will have its value no matter how much money will be printed. LIke flat. You buy flat, the more money they print, the more money flat costs. So it does not depend on how much they print.
Only that flat you need to repair. but if you rent it and it goes good, then rent should cover the repair and make some profit.

Ok, need to sleep, wanted to write quick post, but took probably 40 minutes

oh and quickly why other days this week was no poker - tuesday - party, thursday - free live coahcing about rent busines, thursdau - felt exausted after job, friday - drink with friends, saturday - date (at evening got back to poker analising finally).

So many interesting things in life , but not enough time.

Yesterday tried listening this while playing poker - some jungle, could often hardly even concentrate on poker because concentrated on music :)

At least about first half I liked, did not listen too carefully second half, but will try relisten.
